I'm not sure Ox going to Chelsea has any bearing on Drinky going there. Ox is more than likely an upgrade on Moses, no?

No it doesn't but it may have an impact on Mahrez going to Arsenal !

Precisely.

the only possible effect it could have is that he is another English addition. If they can get Barkley done aswell then they may consider a foreign player instead of drinky. however, I cannot see anyone buying Barkley u less Everton will sell for 15m.

I really hope Barkley doesn't move this week just to see Everton gripe about him moving on a Bosman next season.

£50m they said. lol

Pointless to hold onto him for the second half of the season surely?  He will have zero motivation and then leave for free in June. They may as well take whatever they can get now.

Chelsea fans on twitter keep saying the fee for Drinkwater will be £40m. We will do well to get £40m for DD.

Thing is with Chelsea signing Drinky, is, when is he going to play?

Chelsea already have Fabregas, Bakayoko, and Kante. What games will he play, with a World Cup ahead? Will he really want to go?

He will be on the bench, if he thinks he is going to play every game he isn't. DD needs to really think about this, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Maybe he is happy to play every other week - they only have two holders. Forget fabregas - he isn't a holder. with cup and CL, drinky will get plenty of game time and when he has a strain he won't have to play through it like he does here.

If we get 40m for Drinky then fair play to our owners for playing hardball.

Bet Mahrez will be well upset Drinky going before him! haha

So you've listed 6 players who played in a struggling team and missed out DD and Huth as well... that's 7/8 all here and playing regularly when not injured. The likes of King and Leo still getting game time, there's 10 people still around.

We finished 14th the first season and 12th last season (after being in relegation trouble again). ONE BLIP IN BETWEEN DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING if you end up back where you started.

You say they got that experience, well he didn't have the chance to. Who is to say he can't move forward like they all did and like he started to do as the great escape started?

I have no idea if he'll make it as a starter, and never wanted him to be starting these game, but at the very least was always a better option than King.

Stop it, you're killing me lol (sorry for shouting but can't do bold)

I think it's feasible that we have agreed a deal with Chelsea (30/35m + add ons) but it may be conditional on us signing a replacement. If we aren't able to get someone in then the deal may not go through.

No, in the current market i worry it isn't enough. Our best midfielder when not injured.

Chelsea and Leicester have reached an agreement to transfer midfielder Danny Drinkwater to Stamford Bridge. The amount of the transfer fee of the English international (27 years, 3 selections) should exceed 30 million euros. To replace him, Leicester is thinking of the Parisian Grzegorz Krychowiak.

Selling drinky but keeping riyad is I think I can live with.

Was my thoughts entirely. Really will be sad if DD goes.. but out of all of our 'possible' transfers out, he would be the one i'd choose to go.

Bye bye Danny and i wish you all the best with your future club and hope their bench is something your bum enjoys.

if drink goes we are heading for a relegtion scrap - our remaining cms are just too ordinary and don't look to pick  a pass.

The owners should tell DD to get back to work; he signed his contract

We can't let riyad walk! He is our outside threat and playmaker, he is underutilised in that aspect, when he drifted inside vs united and started playing those fast 1-2 passes, their midfield collapsed, add a box to box and an overlapping RB and we can see that week in, week out.

He would thrive in that united setup, having less defensive duties, elite 1v1 skills, very good playmaking tools and the ability to cross it with both feet.

Should've built around him last season but instead the management wasted the chance to sign quality players!

Managed well without him, a 3-4 defeat against arsenal away because of some naïve mistakes, winning comfortably at home, and losing against the best united team 2-0 away while looking very decent.

I would be more worried if we lost one of : vardy, Kasper or mahrez!
