Backed into a corner on this one, really. Looks like he went for not choosing to politicise it then. Guess he didn't really have much of a choice.
Footballwipe Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 And here come the second amendment defenders in their droves. Notwithstanding the fact that the horse has seriously bolted from its stable already (112 guns per hundred people, apparently) but is there something seriously mentally deficient about Americans who seem to be so passionately pro-gun? I literally cannot comprehend them.
RobHawk Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 It said in the first 275 days of the year there had been 273 mass shootings in 36 different US states. Where mass shooting means 4 or more people shot in the same time or location. Nearly 1 a day for 2017 - ****ing nuts!
Wymsey Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/afp/article-4941350/Stephen-Paddock-retired-accountant-Vegas-gunman.html 'IS's propaganda outlet Amaq said in online statements the attack was carried out by a "soldier" who had "converted to Islam several months ago".'

urban.spaceman Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Thought Trump did quite well in his speech. Except for the God bollocks. There was far too much scripture bullshit. My eyes still haven't rolled back from the other side of my head yet.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 LV Sheriff has stated that 58 people have died and 515 people are injured... Christ.

foxoffderby Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Stayed at Mandalay bay a couple of times. It's a huge plot of land and has first class facilities I'm really shocked at this

You would think as soon as that guy checked in with weapons/ammo, they would be running a background check on him, keeping security guards with an eye on him within the premises, etc.

Guest FriendlyRam Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Trump came on and made absolutely zero sense as per usual God this god that, not one mention of the WHITE crackpot that shot a load of innocent people at a concert Seriously when are they going to remove him? Because that speech just shows how out of his depth he really is
GaelicFox Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 These medications are seriously seriously a major worry now ... if Paddock was also on an SSRI then I hope that will finally mean proper work on understanding why they maybe turning people into psychopathic murders

Sure it's a bit more complicated and that's the excuse the authorities always use but for me it's not good enough when things are this serious to be like 'oh yeh in an ideal world...but that's too hard so let's not bother' This is a joke, right?
Free Falling Foxes Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 As an aside: more endless mobile phone footage on the news - in portrait mode. Look, if you find yourself witnessing a major news story and wish to film it, turn your fecking phone on it's side. Look at your wide screen TV for a clue if in doubt. If was a news broadcaster I would turn all such footage down, even if it showed Trump shagging Clinton.

The obvious answer is the Casino didn't know. There will be plenty of security cameras that hold the answer to how he did it.

Absolute ****ing scaremongering bollocks. Pure speculation - correlation does not equal causality. No doubt they all consumed the same breakfast cereal that day or had taken paracetamol that week too. As study published in the Journal of American Medical Association found that 13% of Americans were on SSRIs. In each of these cases i would venture that it would be far more telling to address the commonality in their internet browsing history.

Tielemans63 Posted 2 October 2017 Posted 2 October 2017 Says it all. Reminds me of the Michael Moore documentaries. While the guy is a zealot he is right that fear breads more for and there's a number of huge US businesses that do very well out of all this suffering.
