Brady got injured just at the right time for us :fc:

He was whipping in some superb balls that we struggled to deal with. Beyond that Burnley hardly created a chance. Just lots of balls into our box. If we had our shooting boots on it would have won at least 3-0. We can catch these lot and get Europa.

This was as exhilarating as Spurs for me because we played so much confident, beautiful football in the second half.  Puel is already unlocking the quality in many of our players.

Yes this is something quite noticable. Albrighton as an example is trying quite a few more audacious passes and jinks. Ndidi too looks more comfortable on the ball, and Simpson is coming forwards way more often. Very encouraging to see.

I thought N'Didi was crap first half, excellent second. The same as most of the team to be fair.

Nice 3 points.

....much better in the second half.

Good bravery from Gray for the goal but didn't do enough for me as the game progressed. Next game Shinji please.

Only real worry - Mahrez with that bleach job - is he trying to get noticed as he still wants way in January ?

No doubt I'll change my tune if we lose against Newcastle (which we won't) but I am loving what Puel is doing with this team.

The players look like they know what they are doing. He obviously knows how to get his message across. And he is not afraid of dropping pricey or long serving players. And he is willing to bring through young players. Happy days ahead for us. I have absolutely no fear about relegation any more. Am hoping and believing we'll finish above Spurts, and have a nice European adventure next year. Oh - and while we're at it - let's win the FA cup!!

Was Albrighton on some sort of accumulator for corners, cos that was the worst set I have ever seen him deliver! lol

Now Mahrez stands out a mile, you can see he is certainly working hard at the mo, he is sort of gliding along in the style of his pomp. Puel has certainly improved his mood and output, even if he was trying a bit to hard to get himself a goal at the end there.

Kudos to Demmy for his bravery and desire, no questions about his following in this time.

Would have brought Shinji on a bit earlier, but our second half was going very well,so I can see an argument for not changing.

We looked a bit wary of putting our foot on the gas in the first half, once we got in front. I think Claude's brand of intelligent rotation is going to be very interesting over this busy period. He is certainly keeping our forward minded players on their toes.

Maguire seems to really settled in defensively, over the last few games, imho.

That’s a BIG win. We are are starting to get some confidence moving the ball on the ground and our overall belief appears to be growing. If that injury to Brady has him out for a while Burnley will struggle to hold their position in the League.

Cannot wait to see Silva playing in this team.

So, if Silva was available now. Who would he replace from todays side, or wouldn’t he?

I think he would rotate between Iborra, Ndidi and Albrighton. So 2 or 3 out of that 4, but probably not all 4 at once unless we have injuries.

5 wins, 5 draws, 5 defeats, 20 goals for, 20 goals against, 20 points. That'll please all you OCD neatness freaks.

This gives me great mental pleasure; thank you.

He doesn’t want him out - he’s worried that he might want to go!

. Honestly if we came in at half time and it was 1-0 to them you would not have been surprised.

I would. They were only ever going to score if the ref chucked them something (like ignoring climbing on Iborra followed by wood catching a cross, or getting a corner for charging schmeichel out of play with the ball in his hands). We were better in every aspect.

Great win and performance second half especially. Even Big Wes is looking to pass the ball.

Mahrez was great again and is putting in some great runs back to defend.

Iborra is fantastic and can't wait to see him and Silva together.

I put a £5 on top 4 8 weeks ago. I'm starting to get a run for my money :-)

What odds did you get?

Should've been more but overall I thought it was a good team performance, the defence especially did a great job.

After the goal Burnley had all the possession, I said on the Pre Match thread that their ball movement is underrated, they certainly know how to spray a ball around. I thought we finished the first half strong though, that seemed to help us.

Second half we were solid all over the pitch, defensively outstanding apart from one moment where Burnley hit us on the counter, going forward the movement was better and really we should've scored more.

The back four were brilliant, Ndidi stood out over Iborra for me today, Albrighton ran his socks off.

Job done, three points, roll on Newcastle

Credit to the team. We just played two thought teams in Spurs and Burnley and got 6 points.
