Burnley (H) Post Match Thread 1 - 0

It's not a coincidence we started playing football when Shinji was subbed in. A shame Puel didin't make changes sooner. Albrighton was great but was on his last legs. All in all precious 3 points but we should thank Burnley for being so wasteful with their chances.

A 1-0 home win against Burnley doesn't look like much on paper, but I thought we played really well without quite being at the top of our game. Burnley are the hardest working team I've seen in some time, you can see why they are doing well.

A slight worry in recent weeks was that we've been fading off in the second half, but this week we actually improved.

Everyone played their part, think Maguire gets motm for me. Oh and anyone else think Riyad's hair made him look a bit faster? Another good performance from him, just missing the end product today.

They lost their spark when Brady went off injured and tired badly in the second half. Remember they went to Bournemouth midweek and ground out an excellent result plus played on Wednesday so we had an extra 24 hours prep time.

I sound like Dyche in his post maych presser lol

it would be nice if going forward it wasnt every man for himself.

Did you miss the second half? It was anything but every man for himself.

More dangerous, one-touch passes than I can remember, threatening to pick apart one of the better back lines in the League.

Great win and we were brilliant second half. The Gray, Mahrez and Albrighton formation worked well today. Mahrez looks back to his best!

Very tricky fixture and we’ve come through it impressively. I’m liking what Puel is doing

It does when you realise they'd only lost once away all season so far. I'll take the points.

I dont mean the passing (which was superb) i mean the shooting when quite often there was a better option on the table.

Dont get me wrong fantastic performance and if we play like that week in week out we are back!!!

Great win and performance second half especially. Even Big Wes is looking to pass the ball.

Mahrez was great again and is putting in some great runs back to defend.

Iborra is fantastic and can't wait to see him and Silva together.

I put a £5 on top 4 8 weeks ago. I'm starting to get a run for my money :-)

Maguire MotM

Should've killed them off in the last 20mins, Vardy in particular. Iborra was dynamic, energetic, clever, willing and able. N'Didi looked knackered and surprised he finished the 90.

Burnley were truly on top until Brady went off, after that they didn't offer much. Great win though, back to back against Top10 :)

Thought we were really good second half, on another day that's an absolute battering and they're a side with a great away record.

Shame we couldn't bury the game and give a few people a rest since we have so many games coming up is all.
