He wouldnt leave pre world cup (ie needs to be playing regular), however if he has a good world cup his value andstaus will grow and the big clubs will be back

Ideally he starts for England and we do well, the fee for him would be crazy

If you put all jokes aside we wouldn't have an Englan team.

too many to reply to so ill assume I must be in the minority who thinks this haha, not to go too off topic I think the team is solid, just need to sort out the central midfielders!

I sort of agree, due to players mysteriously pulling out injured etc, so we haven't had enough games to see our strongest team out yet and give them time to gel, but I think we'll see a strong defense with a decent counter attacking force in the tournament.

I take it you're too young to remember the 90's then

They will flatter to deceive, as always.

Failing to turn up for the big games is what England do.

90s kid but appreciate a lot of people who are older will have the mindset that they've seen this all before. Genuinely thing we could do we'll against the big teams if we stay compact and break on the counter.

i'm not expecting anything out the ordinary, just QF's and to be knocked out on penalties against germany after harry Maguire keeps us a clean sheet and scores his penalty lol

Again, I’ll repeat what I’ve said before.

Our fans over-value him because he’s one of the new fad “ball playing defenders”. Do none of our other defenders play the ball?!?

My concern with Harry is that he wonders off up the pitch (carrying the ball), leaving a gaping hole in our defence. Morgan is slow, Fuchs has a habit of not tucking in. Simpson is better. He’d be better as part of a back 3 in my opinion.

This "wondering" as you call it sets up a lot of our play, its why many of us like him.

It seems like you prefer a back line that is rigid and no movement within the team.

From Sky transfer news

A MOVE WORTH MAKING?

Harry Maguire has been linked with a move to Manchester City, and former West Ham and Fulham defender Tony Gale thinks it would be a good move.

"I think that Harry Maguire has come on a bundle since he has gone to Leicester from Hull," said Gale on Sky Sports News.

"If he goes to Man City, England are sorted out for a very long time. Pep [Guardiola] will show him how to play that kind of football. Gareth Southgate wants England to play that kind of football.

"What a great move for English football that would be."

So, he's saying we don't play 'that kind of football' that has made the English national team such a great success?..:rolleyes:

Surely with VVD going for 75M Harry would be more than 50M when the big boys come calling that’s when you hold out for maximum money. Looks like it might be a difficult summer for.

We need to hope Harry has a great end to the season and a good World Cup.

If he does then he'll go for a King's ransom.

You can’t start with ‘ all jokes aside’, make that claim and then expect to be taken seriously!

Gareth Southgate wants England to play the same football as Man City... really?

Henderson and Livermore are exactly the same as Silva and De Bruyne....
