That is why we bought him. That was clinical

We know his finishing is good, he proved that at Man City. But yes a very well taken goal.

Problem is the rest of his all round game needs a lot of work.

They do say though that composure in front of goal is something that can’t be taught and this kid has it even if he has nothing else ?.

He can can obviously finish. So how do we get the rest of a footballer out of nacho?

I´m more concerned how we get a footballer in to Nacho......

Don't play him in a team like ours? Needs to be a number 9 that gets a ton of service as he can certainly finish.

It's been a pretty crap half, nobody's really impressed. Now we've got the goal though I reckon we'll get another 2 this half.

If we can afford a player to just goal hang and finish... he's your man. All round player.... nope.

Are there many players who are "all round" players at 21?.... nope

But if someone has that finishing ability its not a stretch to imagine you could train the rest of their game up around it.

Such pessimism is a bit ridiculous

God I hate 90% of you. :)

For consistency, halfway through the 2nd half you need to post that you love 90% of us and have always believed we'd come good, if given a chance.

100%

You can’t come to a club like ours and act like he does, it’s like watching Berbatov... or Zlatan without the talent.

We always have been and always will be about players who put a shift in, even if the quality is lacking slightly.... he just angers me, got a first touch like he’s got bricks for feet!

I think he’s done well coming deep to link the play. Usually Okazaki is the one doing this and Iheanacho has done a decent job providing a similar option for our midfield. Yeah the attacks been very slow but at least he’s finally showing some footballing intelligence.

Fibber ?

Haha... I've never publicly slated him but doubts have crept in. He really needed that feeling of scoring.

We were shocking until the first goal though. And it was Huddersfield.

We also beat Spurs, Burnley, Everton and drew with united. Losing to Man City is hardly a crime. Only bad one was Palace. Hardy the results of a team who can't play at home.

Is Benny Pi55ed because he looks like he is the sleazy he’s playing ??

?????

My thought exactly lol That pass to Gray was more telling than Breathalyzer test

Is it worth risking Maguire? I'm really undecided.

It's hopefully 45 minutes vs 30 odd when Benny inevitably gets sent off because in addition to being unable to pass, he can't tackle.

Or, amartey to cb and albrighton at rb to bomb forward.

Maybe the public statement from puel saying he wants iheanacho has made a difference, maybe not.

But hopefully that goal will give Kelechi a much needed boost, and a shade of confidence to carry forward.

we’ve not been great, but let’s not forget the FA cup against lowly opposition is a completely different challenge.

i remember travelling to Hereford years ago and we were shite etc etc I know there’s more examples than that.

typically we cannot penetrate teams that throw men behind the ball, but we have done here, which for me is a huge positive.

As I said to Babylon, why be pessimistic about that?

Simpson has good positioning and whatnot, learned over time. He couldnt hit a barn door scoring wise though.

All Nacho has to do is add basics to that god given finishing ability and you cant go far wrong
