The same person who said we're a small club and shouldn't aspire to anything is still unhappy. Deloitte also submitted a huge document too. Edit: just realised it’s also the same person who claimed the fences were “concentration camp” style. clearly a Cov, Forest or Derby fan
urban.spaceman Posted 18 August 2018 Share Posted 18 August 2018 3 new documents. One of which is 555 pages long. I say we nominate someone to read it all and report back. (I’m exempt as unfortunately I can’t read)

urban.spaceman Posted 20 August 2018 Share Posted 20 August 2018 Road Safety Audit uploaded; basically saying there are zero safety concerns about the junction. I would imagine this will enrage the locals. Although they claim not to use it anyway so it shouldn't bother them ?

I'm not a million miles away and I can't see why a new training ground would cause more of a risk than already exists. Seems like an attempt by any means for the council to alter the junction. Vlad the Fox Posted 20 August 2018 Share Posted 20 August 2018 The club have offered to put a roundabout at the junction as well, but have been told it's no neccassery.

I'd uncross those fingers mate otherwise you may get cramp. That audit is from the club's consultant. Has no bearing on highways who are still saying they need 3 months. The club as mentioned above did originally offer to make whatever improvements. But highways now need to decide what those are and it is unlikely to hit septs committe. st albans fox Posted 22 August 2018 Share Posted 22 August 2018 Vichai is from a part of the world where stuff just ‘gets done’. I hope the charade of an in depth English planning application and all the real ‘democracy’ that surrounds it is something he embraces ........ doubt it though! urban.spaceman Posted 22 August 2018 Share Posted 22 August 2018 Locals still fuming, taking apart the application bit by bit and objecting to every single part of it. Also, comments have been re-opened on the development page, until mid-September. Not sure whether that means a delay.

urban.spaceman Posted 30 August 2018 Share Posted 30 August 2018 New documents. Natural England have no objection. However, Highways England recommended that planning permission not be granted for a further period of 3 months pending additional information being submitted. Another document of dialogue between surveyors and planners suggested that it could be delayed for a year.

Quite understandable, if it gets to that stage, considering the location relatively next to a very busy double-carraigeway and needing to address other issues thoroughly such as changing the landscape etc to build the premises on.
