New training ground announced

Do they think it’s a whole new stadium or something? It’s just the clubs training ground lol not 32000 attending each week

Maybe they missed page 12 of the application:

”All matches will be beamed back to supporters without tickets at the training matches. The public (including townie folk, and maybe some chavs) have an open invitation.

New documents up. The same person who said we're a small club and shouldn't aspire to anything is still unhappy.

Deloitte also submitted a huge document too.

Edit: just realised it’s also the same person who claimed the fences were “concentration camp” style.

clearly a Cov, Forest or Derby fan

3 new documents.

One of which is 555 pages long.

I say we nominate someone to read it all and report back.

(I’m exempt as unfortunately I can’t read)

Yes, I too cannot read unfortunately.

I could read it.. but its upside down

If you have a tablet or phone you can put the orientation lock on and just turn the device upside down.

Or at least I think that’s how gravity works in Australia.

I wouldn’t know.

Road Safety Audit uploaded; basically saying there are zero safety concerns about the junction.

I would imagine this will enrage the locals.

Although they claim not to use it anyway so it shouldn't bother them ?

I'm not a million miles away and I can't see why a new training ground would cause more of a risk than already exists. Seems like an attempt by any means for the council to alter the junction.

Seems very likely that this will get stated soon then! :fc:

I'd uncross those fingers mate otherwise you may get cramp.

That audit is from the club's consultant. Has no bearing on highways who are still saying they need 3 months.

The club as mentioned above did originally offer to make whatever improvements. But highways now need to decide what those are and it is unlikely to hit septs committe.

I am local, junction coming off the dual carriageway could be an issue but that said are we expecting a LARGE volume of traffic going to the training ground?

New documents.

Natural England have no objection.

However, Highways England recommended that planning permission not be granted for a further period of 3 months pending additional information being submitted.

Another document of dialogue between surveyors and planners suggested that it could be delayed for a year.

Quite understandable, if it gets to that stage, considering the location relatively next to a very busy double-carraigeway and needing to address other issues thoroughly such as changing the landscape etc to build the premises on.
