I have read so much over the last two days about what we should accept and what we shouldn't. Some pundits say we should be happy with 60m, some fans think hes worth 75m, some even think 90m plus, what do you think?

Depends.

Are we valuing him with 48 hours to go to the end of the January window, without time to sign a replacement, when we're pushing for a European place?

Or are we valuing him in the Summer when the season is over?

Went for 70-80m. When you put it into context with vvd and coutinho. Whether it's true or not ssn said man City offered 60/65m and our valuation was that they we're 15m short so we wanted 75/80m. I do wonder if man City will be back for him in the summer, just my opinion but I think theyll look elsewhere.

No, no we wanted +90M. which was a polite way to tell them to fck off. I think we'll let him go for 70M this summer.

He's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for him, which, today, is jack shit.

No, thats what the bids will be worth. He's under contract here, his value is set by his employers not his suitors

Which is allegedly 90 million, a figure that no-one will pay, so he'll be here for another 2 1/2 years and will walk away on a free.

Went for £80-90m, but I would probably accept £70m at the start of the summer window- not on the last day.

That would give us enough time & money to find a replacement, plus a quality number 10.

It's all relative isn't it.

It's no good comparing him to another player because it's about what he's worth to us. And, in my opinion, that's somewhere between £70m - £80m.

His worth now is irrelevant  as the transfer window is shut.

In the summer, assuming his agent doesn't screw up again, I would hope we can get £60-65m to reinvest in a couple of players as we are unlikely to be able to attract a £50+m player who will want wages to match unless we get into Europe..

I am assuming he continues in the form he has shown this season, if not the value will fall. To avoid that we should give him a revised contract with an agreed release clause.
