Particularly as they probably went on to win it. They used to win things in those days.

They beat Man City in the final after a replay. Ricky Villa, remember ??

We lost 0-2 at Villa Park in the semi. Tommy Williams broke a leg and Ian Wilson scored a bizzare own goal.... and there was a big scrap outside before the match (but we won that one)

Soooooo who is still in, checking on google and looks like aot of games are being played tomorrow?

Who do you guys want? Rochdale would be good but unlikely they will beat Spurs. Maybe the winner of Brighton v Coventry? or Southampton v West Brom.

Yep realisitically the winner of Brighton / Cov or Southampton / Baggies would be the best we could hope for. But that said, if end up in the semis after getting a team like that, though it will be great day out it won't really be that impressive a feat. Eventually we need to beat one of the big boys so honestly I don't mind whoever we get. All of the English teams are doing great in Europe (that are still left in it) so even if we get one of the big money teams they might not play all of their best players and we might have a chance as a result.

This is what happens when teams sit back against an above average team who struggle to break others down. We got the job done as we never stopped trying to find a break through. We badly need full backs who can overlap and actually have some sort of footballing brain in the final third. Simpson appears to play with a withered foot when he's in any danger of providing a cross or pass in a telling area.

Mahrez was spot on again, cherish these last 10-15 games.

DeAndre Yedlin RB at Newcastle.

Vardy, Gray, Chilwell very good.

Kasper was much better than last week but possibly the second best gk on display tonight. We really need someone who can control the box like their guy did. Corners into the yd box and we looked vulnerable their guy caught everyone.

Iborra did the usual looked great and then gave the ball away 3 times. Ndidi is some player.

Wish Amartey was playing instead of Simpson. what has he done to disappear so quickly?

We moved the ball too slowly and had a couple of players who killed the ball. Mahrez had a good game but dribbled for too long too often and really needs to consider a first time cross occasionally, he has the vision and the skill but doesn't do it.

Happy with the win. now let's hope we don't get Man City away in the next round. Hopefully a home game again.

Disagree on Mahrez,we needed him and Gray,to be selfish today, plus Riyhad Mixed If Well.

Sometimes trying to Take players on,sometimes getting a Cross in.

I would of Loved to have Seen Gray, taking on more runs,in these Type of games.

Too many players Bunching around the D,players we're Crossing each other, instead of running

Off..Plus too slow in the one-twos,looked laboured. But we did try,and Drive forward, sometimes

very Well.Chilli put more thought Into his forward runs. The blades defended, their Box Well and

En Mass, with players running around Covering  Leicester's Space.

Hahaha all these people thinking their keeper was the new Peter Shilton!

He grabbed a few crosses and made a few standard saves and all of a sudden he's going on to "big things"  and we should sign him up!

What did we think of Wes tonight? Disappointed to see Drags and Mags split up... I thought they we building a good partnership personally.

I thought  Simpson and Wes looked our worst players tonight . And I thought  Nacho although  not heavily involved looked a lot leaner and hungrier .

Also good to have dumped a bitter set of fans out of another cup this season lol

Dont get why they were being so up tight on their forum pre-match, but this will give them some fuel to boil their piss for a bit longer...

Non existent!

I just typed a massive reply to someone regarding this and lost the lot when my internet borked.

So in short and like i said in the match thread, i didnt see Wes at all tonight, a good thing to a certain extent as we didnt have that much defending to do but Maguire was everywhere, pushing forward great blocks, passes etc. I can honestly say i cannot recall seeing Wes ever doing this (bringing the ball out from the back) Maybe someone will remind me?

They beat QPR in the final after a replay I think. The semi at Villa Park was my first away game.

Didn't think at the time that we wouldn't get to another semi for (at least 35 years)!

Didnt think much to Nacho tonight, would have liked to have seen him subbed for Diabate. Simpson was ok, i thought he was alot better than he has been in weeks (ignoring injury time ofc)

The Blades were only sharp for one second around 85 minute forcing Schmeichel to make a crucial save. Their keeper was decent. Overall a pleasant game of wasted chances won with a great goal.

I'm increasingly worried about our full backs though, both Simpson and Chills were too easily beaten by Sheffield players. And Vince needs to add olive oil to his diet to shake off that rust

Wasn’t the best game tonight certainly didn’t pull up any trees !!

But at least it’s a win and another step closer to a trip to Wembley, a quarter final place awaits us and much stronger opposition so we’ll need to step up our performances!!

Time for Puell to sort out this team and get them in the right frame of mind to keep pace with the top 6 in the prem, we know we can play awesome but of late we’re having far too many Jeckyll and Hyde performances hit and miss slack games whatever you want to call them but now it’s time for the lads to step up to the mark !!

Yay, just one win away from Wembley and just two wins away from...Wembley, I wish they wouldn't do that.

Win at Spurs away next round, then thats 3 trips to Wembley!
