Seems strange how this seems to happen from the 70th minute onwards in the last few matches

We had 11 shots before the 70th minute in the last game, not far off what half the league average per entire game and more than the 10.8 we average per game.

Have a word. We're eighth in the Premier League and have a decent chance of winning the Cup. We've hit a shit run of form, granted, but all the nobbers going overboard about how we're rubbish to watch and how time's running out for Puel need to give their head a wobble and get a sense of perspective. Half the division would kill to be in our position at the moment, and our fanbase would have too before 2015-16 happened.

I agree. Sorry, quoted you in my original post by mistake.

I backed him heavily initially and still do back him but recent lineups and subs have confused me, I do think he’s justifying the old guard losing their places in sticking by them though.

Think of the hundreds if not thousands of football clubs in this country only 7 of them would not want to trade places with us right now. Despite the delusions of some people on this forum we are not the 8th biggest club in the country. We are still overachieving. If you want some perspective look at some clubs of a similar size as leicester if not bigger in some cases like sunderland, leeds, coventry, blackburn and then tell me puel that you are unhappy with how the club is achieving and being run.

Although we were lucky to get a point against bournemouth we should have had 3 against swansea. We scored a perfectly good second goal but it was not given. Had we gone in 2 nil up they would not have come back. If you take the top 6 out of it (which I don't think we'll get in) the next table were second. Fans wanting puel out need to get a grip because there's no guarantee you'll get someone whose better - look at southampton.

It's just the minority though, like in any walk of life. This is a forum after all. Nobody is going to open a thread entitled 'I think Puel is doing OK and things are generally alright' eveb though that's presumably what the vast majority of our fans think

I think this is it, a noisy minority. I remember at one point under Pearson the pitchforks looked to be truly out for him on here with thread after anti Pearson thread, (remember the term pearsonites lol) calling for his head, even the national media believed it, yet when someone did a poll 80% wanted him to stay.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of people are hating on Puel. From what I can see we doing well in the league sat in 8th, potential to get a Europa League spot, still in the FA cup, It seems everyone wants to hate Puel. I admit there have been a few strange decisions but bloody hell some people need a reality check!!!!!

Because too many people on FT speak out of their asses.

Things have never been so good (apart from the 2015 league win of course).

I don't think it is hate, he came with a reputation for boring football so any negative results will have that accusation thrown at him. Same with the interviews- nobody would care if we were winning games.

We did start well under him and have tailed off but we've still had enough chances to win the last three home games. When you start off with a fanbase that is sceptical, any disappointments will be highlighted.

Why is it always assumed that a manager’s demeanour in a press conference is what they’re like all the time?

Puel has apperead as really passionate about coaching and training to me, even playing in training drills. On the other hand press conferences are full of boring, repititive questions with journalists and reporters desperate for a story - most in that situation are guarded, bored and want to get it through it mindlessly.

Some of our fanbase thought Pearson was shit with the media so what chance has Puel got? Personally I found Ranieri’s press conferences a bit annoying because they were so deliberately silly. As long as we’ve not got a Pardew or a Moyes being absolute manhole covers offending or insulting people then I’m not fussed about them.

He’s a boring cvnt who plays shit football. If we dont win the cup we should get rid. Southampton finished 8th and nearly won a cup with worse players and they fvcked him off, are we less ambitious than Southampton?

I think it may be more frustration than anything. We have had a few results that haven't been great and all though we are not winning many we are not losing many either so we are slowly picking up points. If butland hadn't pulled off a few good saves and we didn't hit the post twice that would have been 3 points. Go in 2-0 against Swansea at half time and they wouldn't come back from that. Some of the play is slow and we go back and sideways more but it's also pointless just aiming a long ball straight through to the keeper as teams are playing further back to stop players like vardy getting in behind them. He needs to find his best team from now and the end of the season and stick to it. Get rid of anyone he doesn't want and try and improve where he can. Playing players that are constantly under performing when there are players on the bench that are more than capable of keeping the others out of the team. It could still finish a really good season if we get past Chelsea in the cup and start winning a few league games to get 7th place starting with an attacking line up and 3 Points against wba on Saturday

There's that buzzword of the moment again..."Hate":yawn:

I've said it before and i'll continue to say it, Can people not simply dislike, have a opinion or disagree with something without apparently "hating" something/someone nowadays?

Apart from Diabate being offside when the ball was passed to him in the build up ?

another game whère ian nacho misses a simple chance. That’s everton, swansea and Bournemouth - apparently he is a natural finsisher. Guess he isn’t match sharp so we’ll lay off him on these.

A couple more draws and we will be 11th/12th. we won’t be going down but we will be solidly mid table

Great example. They’re doing so good with all of that ambition lol

Is it Puel or is it the team in general causing some people a little frustration.

Our football is not exactly awe inspiring.....I'm sure Puel is looking for the best combination from the players we have but so far he's not found it....at least I hope he hasn't cos it's not fun to watch. We have a fairly talented squad of players to chose from and 7th or 8th position is fair play but our football has lost any flow or excitement....to me at the moment it's boring and frustrating to watch......wayward passes from players who are more comfortable hoofing it up to Vardy. Drac was helping us here yet has been dropped for Morgan. Simpson and Morgan trying to place a pass is laughable, Chilwell at left back is distressing. If we can't build up from the back then we may as well set up for hoofball and hope Ndidi intercepts for quick counters.

Still hoping he figures it out (don't see it yet myself) and if we are going to play possession football, at least have players on the pitch who are comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Need to be realistic though, we aren't going to finish top 6. They are way ahead of the rest of the division. Arsenal are shit and have lost 8 games this calendar year already but will still finish top 6.

Nothing wrong with ambition but what manager is going to lead us to a top 6 finish? Southampton changed manager and are now bottom three.

Admiring the manager after a relatively poor few results, especially at home, wouldn't be quite right.

But am confident they'll put a much better showing in the FA Cup.
