No one else to blame for that defeat but Kasper. Never have I criticised him because as a keeper, until this season truly believed he won us more games than he lost. We are out of the cup because his ego took over. Utterly moronic decision which a professional should be ashamed of making. It was Pedro coming in for the header not bloody Giroud!

Shocking after we scored. They’ve had a mid week game away at Barca and still turned us over. Subs should have happened way sooner. Although Gray shouldn’t have come on at all, all he had to do was one cross and couldn’t even manage that. That’s that for this season.

Eurgh. To be honest, it wasn't a bad effort, but...

 

1. Howler from Kasper

2. Puel leaves his subs far too long. It was 105 minutes in (and a goal down) before we made a second sub, ffs.

3. Chillwell and Simpson cannot attack (although Simpson can at least defend, for the most part).

Chelsea were poor. We played far too conservatively. To slow. Bad decisions cost us. What the **** was kasper doing? First goal we had 3 defenders running in 3 different directions. None of them were in the same one as morata. 

 

Waited too long to go for it. Didn't embarrass ourselves but to go out in the way we did conceding those goals is the real kick in the teeth.

Our mistakes cost us dearly. Lost against a wobbling Chelsea side that got thumped by Barcelona and had less time to recover than we did.

Schmeichel will have nightmares of today's performance for a while to come, to let Pedro (!) head it in is a sign of very poor judgement for a goalkeeper.

Chilwell and Simpson two other players I'd like to give a stern talking to. Shaky going forward and hardly to be seen in defense. They are no wingbacks and never will be.

 

We were missing creative input coming through the middle AGAIN! Iborra mostly anonymous and Ndidi the only one with any goalscoring threat whatsoever.

 

Summer can't come quickly enough. I just hope we somehow magically improve our PL standing, it can only get better from hereon.

Really disappointing. They were there for the taking. Hazard didn't turn up and they were well and truly beatable today. Individual errors and poor decision making are the only reasons we are not in the semis. Kante was fantastic as always. After they played midweek against Barce we should have nailed them in extra time. Got to question why we only made 1 sub until it was too late!
