Mahrez probably knows he will be playing in the Champions League next season.

I doubt it , not heard  many suitors banging on the door

Must admit I do worry. I think straight

after a game Puel considers an attackive line up with high intensity from the off and he begins to plan for the next match, that’s why we get him saying all the right things in the press conference.

Then as the week wears on in training all his conservative play doubts creep in and by match day we get another team built for passing around in the middle of the park but no way to work the ball to an isolated Vardy. Luckily he’s brought the subs to change things back to how he planned to play after the last game and when they come on too late into the game we see a tiny bit of that attacking football.

And so he thinks ... next time, goes into the press conference and ... the cycle continues.

If Puel’s tactics are going to work we need Shinji to have a good game linking midfield and attack and two attack minded full backs.

Problem is I can’t see us playing 3 at the back, and the only other option is playing Marc at right back and Gray on the left wing. But I think Simpson will play and Albrighton will be on the left wing and I even worry we’ll try Diabate in the number 10 and there won’t be a route to Vardy for 70 / 80 mins again.

Lets hope for a nice surprise, see some great intent from the off for once, and be 3-0 up at half time.

1-1 draw. In Puel's defence, barring a horror show, any result today is likely to be impact by the CM issues.  I like the idea of going 3-4-3 to allow the central CB to come a little bit into midfield. Burnley's front line also isn't the quickest so this concept wouldn't leave us overly exposed.

                             Schmeichel

        Dragovic          Morgan          Maguire

 Albrighton        Silva         Choudury     Chilwell

           Mahrez          Vardy       Diabate

They've only scored 3 goals twice this season, and one of those was on the opening day.

Good idea playing Wes in a back three as gives him another option for his sideways passes.

Perhaps they know something we don’t, more likely they know nothing at all or they have just made it up

Burnley are a well drilled side and Chris Wood will want to prove a point, so it's a loss today for me with a Chris Wood goal just to rub salt in the wound.

Burnley have the same number of victories/defeats at home as we do and are the lowest scores at home in the league with just 12 goals.  So it is still a possibility that we can claim the converted 7th place with victory today.

We need to be creating chances today and if we do I think we will have enough to beat them today.  Team selection is going to be key to our chances except for centre midfield which basically picks it self Puel has some big decisions to make.

Yeah but we're the team that change those kinda stats aren't we.

We need to get off to fast start, not serve up the usual docile, ponderous muck seen of late at home.

We are the team that need to win. That means taking the initiative and putting their (very well organised and disciplined) defence under pressure with probing passes, penetrative dribbles and accurate crosses - not circulating it harmlessly across the field as Vardy idly watches on from afar.

True

I think one of the lowest points of the 14/15 season was when Villa scored a second half goal in front of the holte end for the first time since about 1970 or something and the scorer was bloody Alan Hutton who hadn't scored for about 8 years.

Dewsbury-Hall has looked good for the u23s to be fair.

Very long shot; but would love to see him go with a middle three of Choudhury, Silva and Dewsbury-Hall. May absolutely fail but could be worth a try.
