TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 Big Ben Mee is out for them and so is Gudmundsson so we'd have a pretty good chance if we actually knew how to kick a football towards goal.
UPinCarolina Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 Unfortunately, I’m bearish on our chances. 2-1 Burnley. I’d love to be wrong!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 If we play our normal tentative cautious way then they’ll beat us.
CarbonVirtine Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 I'm another that's not feeling overly confident. Given the recent form of both clubs, it's hard to see Burnley losing this. Still, come that day I'll obviously be hopeful.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 Burnley are not a good team to be fair, but they do have something we lack - spirit and energy. I'm more confident playing away than at home under Puel, though, will go for a 2-2 draw with us exploiting their lack of pace and them exploiting our lack of physicality
norwichfox Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 This will be a draw, unless one team scores more than the other. I doubt we'll even "turn up" until 70th minute chasing a game.
RonnieTodger Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 Can't see us winning this at all. As far as Burnley are a concerned, a draw keeps us at bay. Not that they need to sit back against us to win, but I can't see this fixture playing into our hands at all.
foxy boxing Posted 9 April 2018 Posted 9 April 2018 They will be going all out to beat us with our defence trying to shut out Barnes and Wood! who are both having great seasons.

I think Dyche will be quite cautious - concede 70% possession to Leicester and hope to grab a goal on the counter-attack. I don't think Dyche will want Vardy running in behind. I have a feeling SD would settle for a 0-0 and hope for a 1-0.

st albans fox Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 Burnley were ok at our place. Neat football (not unlike bmouth) but without having quite the off the ball movement of howe’s side. if we are tactically sound and up for it we are capable of getting a result.

lestajigs Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 First away of the season, it’s a shame our performances have been so boring and gutless, as if we win were 3pts away from Europe

Yep stick Harry in there too as DM and bring in Dragovic alongside the undroppable Morgan. Silva can then play more forward behind Mahrez/Diabate and Vards. No other options if Amartey is out.
FOXYTALK Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 The manager and the players are talking about Europa league football. It has become a distraction, hence concentration levels have dipped. We need to look at ourselves and take it one game at a time rather than worrying about other clubs and chasing the game. Saturday was a prime example wasn't really rocket science. I did understand the team selection to include Diabate as pace up field. After 10 mins this was abundantly clear this wasn't working, we didn't change anything. Clearly Newcastle's dangerman in Jonjo Shelvey we should have had someone man mark him out of the game and cut off their creative outlet. For Burnley i assume they will play Wood and Barnes up front. Our central defenders should be more than capable of handling them. The key battle will be in the midfield and getting our wingers in dangerous positions and getting Mahrez to influence the game. i would like to see Okazaki/Gray in the team to link with Vardy.
Spicer Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 I expect to lose. Hope I'm wrong. Kasper Simpson(Unless Amartey is fit) Dragovic Maguire Chillwell Mahrez Choudary Silva Albrighton Okazaki Vardy
Happy Fox Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 Kasper Amartey Dragovic Maguire Chillwell Mahrez Silva Choudary Gray Iheanacho Vardy Subs: Okazaki, Diabate, Morgan, Fuchs, Hamer, Simpson and Dewsbury-Hall
les-tah Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 To the people who are assuming Dragovic will start ahead of Morgan saturday.. are you drunk?

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 This is what I hope to see, not what I think we'll see. Kasper Amartey Dragovic Maguire Fuchs Mahrez Choudrey Albrighton Silva Gray Vardy 4-5-1 in defense, 4-2-3-1 in attack. Subs: Jakupovic, Simpson, Morgan, Chilwell, Barnes, Diabate, Iheanacho.
les-tah Posted 10 April 2018 Posted 10 April 2018 Maguire is not the answer to CM can we nip that in the bud please? 2
