We won the lottery when we found Mahrez. Chances of that happening again are somewhere between no hope and Bob Hope.

I’m hoping for telescope and envelope, but you’re right, lightning rarely strikes twice......

I'm used to a bit of over pricing, but **** me.... £40m for a championship player. Not happening.

They just want to get their FFP counter-balancing money in fast enough. Recorded a loss of £81m in 2016 and roughly £15m last year.

Last year's wage bill was close to £54m!

How many players have we bought and thought they'd be amazing? Slimani, Musa, Mendy, Kapustka, even Iheancho to some extent. Maybe because everyone thinks he's awful he might be okay lol

At last some sense.

£10 Million with £5 Million in addon's if he performs.

No way would the Thai's pay £40 Million for this wannabe.

I mean how can they value him at that price.

He has won zero, has not proven anything and his scoring record is poor.

Desperate club !.......

It's like some on here think Mahrez is £90 - £100M

Some guy on their forum wants £40m a 40% sell on and first refusal when we sell him...... It's unreal.

He’s a young lad with a ridiculous amount of spare cash, pretty much all young footballers wear this sort of stuff. I only care about what he could do for us on the pitch (and his hair) he can wear what he likes as far as I’m concerned.

Not half some assumptions as well. I can totally believe the majority are up to similar, he just happened to get caught. It isn't that big a deal.

Sounds like they're trying to finance their season's transfer dealings now they have to cut their cloth because they didn't get promoted.

At least those figures take into account what players in OUR market are actually getting sold for. Nobody has gone for more than £15m in the champ'.

There's players gone for that who don't possess the achievements and end product that Mahrez has. Eden Hazard is talked about as a £200m player for heavens sake, now that's scandalous.

Yes, anyone would think he is an ex PL winner, ex PFA player of the season and a player with more goals+assists last season than Hazard, Mané, David Silva and Eriksen, whilst playing for a team that was average at best.

We offer what we think he is worth

Assuming they reject it, if he doesn’t slap in a transfer request then he isn’t that bothered about coming here. He seems the type who needs to care in order to produce.

Is he any better than Kapustka or Barnes? Barnes got more assists and goals than him in half a season at a heinous club hahaha.

Yeah, I think he is. He’s certainly more robust, physically. Barnes and Kaputska look like boys amongst men. They’re nowhere near strong enough. Or skillful enough not to need that physicality.

I disagree and find that unfair in relation to barnes, looks a strong lad if anything and has a good first half of the season
