This.

What's the point of still just aiming for mid table? That's what Stoke did and got complacent. They got relegated.

I think plenty of us felt that if we'd really gone for it last season we could've finished 7th.  With a bit more quality maybe have challenged Arsenal for 6th.  There's a gap to the top 6 but it's achievable with ambitious, wealthy owners and a well run club.  It may take 5 years but it has to be the aim. When the opportunity comes you have to have the attitude to take it. Surely we all learnt that in 2015-16.

To progress and attract better quality players we must have high aspirations.

We also should have a long term plan, and I feel our poor finish to the season was, apart from the injury list, part of implementing that long term plan (I keep repeating this to myself every 14 seconds)

Seems quiet on this front, especially after numerous talk last week that he had been due to leave imminently.

I think he's staying. He's seen Ricardo come in and knows we could be a force.

No chance. It’s all agreed, be sorted this week coming, I’d imagine.

Are you contradicting yourself?

If there’s not action on the Mahrez front in the next two weeks, I’ll be very suspicious.

Something will have certainly gone awry.

Ridiculous really, on his day he is arguably (which is almost every game) he's a game changer. 70m up front minimum

I can only think of a couple of players who are better in the prem of the top of my head and that's De Bryune & Salah

But we know the Dildo brothers would never get that and it be hilarious when 'Arcrotchnavic' starts kicking up a stink (if there any truth to the rumours) like we know he will as he's a temperamental S*d.

As for Mahrez, i genuinely think some on here need to see a psychiatrist. He's off, although he had his moments he'll leave having been pivotal to a feat that'll never be bettered (imo) and goes with my admiration and thanks. His small indiscretions aside, I couldn't hold it against him for what he actually did for us. One of the greatest ever to wear our shirt.

Just get the transfer quickly done now

There's more things hinting he could be staying than going, I'm more inclined to believe that evidence than any supposed ITK

What do you think suggests he’s staying?

Yes - he has rushed back from international duty to make sure Jonny Evans isn’t going to nick his locker at belvoir drive ............

it’s nothing to do with getting the deal done and dusted before the World Cup gets started. I expect pep and others required for both the media side and logistical one are intending going to Russia at some point. This will also be Man City’s record signing and they will want to present it before the hullabaloo of the WC begins and unforeseen events potentially take media precedence.

The mirror reporting deal very close to be completed. Agents fees is the hold up.

Makes a mockery of it all doesn’t it? His new agent Kia Choooarsehole gets him to kick up a fuss in January but now the deal can’t go through in the summer because he wants more out of it all.

I've never understood how football clubs got themselves into a position whereas they pay the agents and not the footballers.

If you were buying a house then you wouldn't expect the estate agent to bill you and not the seller. I'm probably overlooking something but you would think the footballer employs the agent so it's his responsibility to pay him.

What would be hilarious is if Mahrez never got his "dream move" to Man City because his agent torpedoed it because he wasn't getting enough money despite Leicester, Man City and Mahrez all being happy with the fee/wages. lol

No but you have to pay a solicitor which the agent seems to think he is lol
