Like I've said before, I have faith in Puel. It may take a while but I think he'll get it right. Nice to see we're building and getting in players who can actually play football.

And thanks to Danny Simpson, the best right back I've seen here.

Obviously too young to remember Peter Rodrigues .. he of sliding tackle fame.

Not sure we have just puel to thank

im sure his wages are top notch with what was on the table.

In his interview he cites Puel being the manager as a reason for him joining as he knows him already (along with the usual "big club, were champions recently" stuff). Judging from his answer Puel is the main reason, although no doubt the wages pushed it a bit more.

Forgive me for being a cvnt but this place has a history of getting a hard on over signings that often don’t work out for us.

What guarantees that this kid will be more of a success than the likes of Slimani, Musa or Kramaric?

Its been 50 years since our last right back signing.

Now we will have the best right back in the league.

WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE

I admit simpson is past his best but he's not THAT far gone.

What I mean is given the publicised  uncertainty regarding Puels future, if it was just because he was manager the bloke wouldn’t be signing a 5 year deal.

im sure it opened doors to the club, but I suspect a huge offer sealed the deal.

Looks like a top notch signing by all accounts, well done to all involved.

Now lets get a left back and at least two centre halves in!

Excited to see him for a season before he gets poached by a bigger club.

If that's the case c'est la vie, take a big profit and hopefully bring in another top player. If you have top drawer scouting (I'm not saying we have) then high player turnover is a good thing.

Much rather have a Kante and problems with suitors than have a Mendy we can't shift.
