For anyone that says Vardy isn't a proper finisher, they should watch his hat-trick against Man City. When he squeezed it in from that insane angle tells you all you need to know.

Danny Mills is a prize twat. I remember him saying it would be an embarrassment for England when Watford were in the FA Cup semis and that they may face Leicester in the Community Shield.

Vardy would give his absolute all to perform in the minutes he gets given, players like Sterling probably just take things like playing in a World Cup for granted, especially at his age as he’s likely to go to a few more. I actually dislike Mills more than Dennis Wise, horrible bloke.

The goal he scored against Liverpool, the volley against West Brom, the volleys against Chelsea and the sublime back heel against Germany. Just those five goals show that he absolutely is a natural finisher and match his goals to shots ratio against sterling, and tell me that nonsense again. The stats, the facts and what we see week in week out helps  form my opinions. Wtf does Danny fecking Mills base his on ?

I wonder.

He's scored so many goals that aren't just "blasts".

His goal against Man Utd is also an example. Where he just passed it into the net with his left foot.

I can't think of many goals he's actually blasted in this season?

Edit

Found a vid of his goals this season. Besides the penalties, i can only see one goal where hes absolutely blasted it and thats against Burnley.

Danny Mills is a right ****.

His very first goal against them is indicative of his natural ability as well, first time control then 2-3 touches before ‘passing’ past the keeper.

He has a variety of goals against top top opposition, even better than king Harry.

Southgate should find a way to accommodate both against the top teams imo

His last goal of the season against Spurs was pretty much a blast (but that didn't make the video for some reason..?).

Either way, I see no reason to denigrate a powerful finish, especially when you find yourself in the positions that Vardy does, i.e. often at a bad angle or with no opportunity to take an extra touch.

You wonder how these people got so far in football despite seemingly having no idea about it.

Quite.

Danny Mills was good at putting his 'foot through' opposing strikers but that's about it. Was always a weak link when he played for England because his technique was horrific. Stephen Warnock got 2 England caps, 2 years apart.

Maybe shut the **** up eh lads?

If thats how he feels he needs to stay relevant is by giving out absurd soundbites fair enough, you'd expect more dignity and respect from a former pro but I suppose he's gotta earn that sweet sweet pundit money

I think there's a bit of confusion as to what a natural finisher is in here, banging in volleys from 30 yards and scoring 15 separate goals that were all a bit different would make half the players in the Prem eligible.

Anyway, no idea why we are comparing Sterling and Vardy anyway, if it's a three it's clearly Sterling as Vardy is an atrocious winger and if it's a front two it's clearly Vardy as if Vardy isn't a natural finisher there's no chance Raheem is one, needs about 70 chances to score two goals.

Vardy over Sterling any day of the week, the only goals Sterling scores are tap ins and is just a pace merchant, Vardy gives England exactly what they need but some how hyperbole gets in ahead of him

Id argue that Vardy is just as good as - if not better than - Kane when it comes to finishing, and does a lot more work off the ball too. Yet you'd never hear any of these pundits saying that Sterling is a better finisher than Kane, would you?

As we're used to by now though, Vardy will be the 'impact sub' for England in the group stages, coming on for 10 uneventful minutes at the end of the match whilst Alli refuses to pass to him, or he'll inexplicably be played as a winger. We'll get through to the last 16 and be tied late on, and Southgate will use his 3rd sub to bring on Henderson to play for penalties or something equally stupid, whilst Vardy watches on from the bench.

Bollocks and reminiscent of.......... "He only scores goals"

He seems to be being criticised for the way he scores goals by the pillocks Mills and Warnock.
