Just heard Shaun 'Whinger' Dyche on Skysports he was asked why Burnley had not signed anybody. He replied basically it's hard to do deals with the prices clubs are paying he went on to say 'Leicester set the bar high early in the window when they bought James Maddison'.

Search abroad. It's not always expensive abroad (Kante and Mahrez are prime examples).

Exactly. It's a risk going abroad, but it's a much smaller risk than signing nobody.

I think he is trying to sign Championship players but because we signed one for £25m he can't get cheap deals over the line.. But Championship prices have been inflated for a while. Long before we signed Maddison. My suggestion to him would be to widen his net. But he also has to remember foreign clubs know the English have a lot of money and they will charge insane prices for their players.
