I'd be happy to have him as 4th choice. Just slightly behind Wes.

Only 4th choice?

Slab head needs to step aside, Big D is in town!

Hasn't his contract with us expired already?

From what I remember reading. He didn't want to play as a right back, but as a centre half. He didn't get a sniff of a chance at the centre half position in the u23s.

I thought he'd be gone. But now Puel's preferred him to our established u23s centre halfs. If Puel promises him a position on the bench I'd guess he'll stay.

I've never understood why he is always with his England age group but rarely talked about being one for the future here. Glad to see him have a good night. Please loan to get lots of meaningful football.

Im surprised he’s jumped ahead of Hughes who was apparently the stand out player of the under 23’s last season . I don’t think he even went on the tour with the main squad

Did ok but still too early for him, against Udinese his positioning was horrendous at times.

Spot on

No where near good enough YET but has a chance of making it as a centre half but no chance whatsoever as making it as a right back

Contract talks ongoing but DJ now possibly holding more aces than Rudkin

Likely to sign new contract if sent out on loan to gain more experience, he wanted to go on loan last season but was told no.

Rudkin probably too concerned with the u23's league position.

Maguire, Evans, Morgan, Benny, Johnson.

If Evans stays injured we may need him.

Edit: What has happened to Drag?

Is it beyond the realms of possibility that he might start against United for the first game of the season? If Evans is injured and Maguire isn’t considered due to holiday, that only leaves Wes, Benalouane, Johnson and Knight?

I'd put Johnson ahead of Benny.

Me too, what’s happened to Hughes?  Isn’t he also older than some of the other defenders in the U23s (Johnson, Knight etc)?
