Sometimes wonder if he is actually thinking ahead of the rest of the team and is actually superior.Perhaps would be better suited to Man City or Barca.

I'd be very happy selling him in the summer as long as I can see him play a couple of times on his proper wing, convinced he'd probably play better there. That said, his chance creation and goal scoring are awful. Loan him off to a mid-table team like Arsenal

He has too little football intelligence I think. To much running into dead ends when he should look to spread the play.

Hope he progresses of course, but I honestly cannot see it.

More time?!?   It's been nearly 4 years and he still hasn't improved!

For me, he’s the most frustrating player around our 1st team. He’s got pace and a trick but at present appears to lack a football brain. At the moment I’m struggling to see how better decision making will develop. He can take defenders out of the game but he hasn’t realised that his ability to thwap one in from 20 yards at the end of a run is less frequent than Christmas.

That's a fair assessment, he's one of those players that actually looks better than he is, shame really but you can only coach so much ..

Kind of reminds me Lloyd Dyer with more flare. He can beat a man but the bit after is always a disappointment.

In a hundred and twenty plus appearances he has 6 goals and 6 assists. 

 

It just isn't good enough. We've had two years of discussing potential and Flair. He just isn't good enough.

He hasn't progressed a jot since some half decent appearances at the end of the title winning season. Should have accepted Bournemouth's offer last season and moved him on - Eddie Howe would improve him, I'm sure, unlike Clueless Claude.

If Football Manager is 100% accurate (which of course it totally is ) then Gray still would have made no improvement by Summer 2025. He even struggles to score or assist for me and my team have been the PL's top scorers for the last 3 seasons
