If there is such a thing as glorious failure, that was it.

We were brilliant for long spells, had the better chances, and the difference was an Amartey brain fart in minute one.

We go on.

Wolves is must win.

2nd game of the season is a must win... usually a ridiculous statement but heads will drop and atmosphere will turn soar, so I agree. I predicted (as im normally glass half empty) we’d lose opening two games then Southampton away would be a ‘must not lose’ game otherwise he’s gone, done with him

Decent but our end product will have to improve. Seemed to run out of ideas very quickly, Maddison sub was a bit strange.

Ricardo decent first half, Chilwell good but just doesn’t create anything. Disappointed with Iheanacho, and Ghezzal had some nice touches to be fair, just don’t think he’s got turn of pace needed.

Somethig to to work on at least.

Disappointing but old Trafford away and we’re a new team that needs to gel but we still played the better football. Utd are used to playing with each other, we’re not. We’ll win more than we lose. Keep the faith

Played really well. Carragher reckons we didn't deserve anything anyway because we didn't create anything? Man Utd certainly created no more than us lol I'm happy despite the result that i've just watched the new Leicester outplay Man Utd at Old Trafford

Three lucky goals, thought a point each was fair as united were bang average. Good performances from ndidi, chilwell, gray and Madison. Ghezzal decent when he came on too and Ricardo looks promising.

A lot to be positive about but so disappointing to lose to a pretty lacklustre man united

Nice Expansive football in the first half, looked confident and composed.

Not sure what was said the 2nd half but looked a lot worse.

Daniel Amartey looked out of his depth  prefer D Simpson if we are gonna play a right back.

Silva looks good if the pass is within 2 meters, struggles otherwise

Chilwell looks like he close his eyes when he crosses

Morgan looked poo

Ndidi had a poor game for him

Yup, the only points to take from this match are negative ones!

Well what can you say, daft moment from Amartey has basically cost us the game and given us a mountain to climb from minute one. So disappointing and massively frustrating.

But we played very well in large parts of the game, and did not deserve to lose and on this basis we'll be absolutely fine this season.

Still can't believe we've lost this to be honest.

I think we had a good chance tonight to win this game with all the negativity and poor United performance. We just didn't quite do enough. It was OK and there was promise but there were some players missing or simply not quite at the races. Too early to castigate any player in game one but we do look lightweight in attack.

Thought we played superbly well. Bit of luck going our way and we could have won that, or at least nabbed a draw. Massively impressed with Chillwell, Gray, Ricardo. All in all looks good for the season ahead.

Yeah.

The fans turning is why I said it was must win.

I'd give Puel til Christmas, but some would have him gone if we don't win 4-0 against Wolves.

Impressive throughout just unlucky to go down so early as the game could have been different.

Gray and Chilwell had good games, both looked lively and are improving.

Would have preferred Iborra in there ahead of Silva more composure, Silva didn't have a bad game but just look tired and should have came off earlier.

Pierra looks like a great player, had a solid game.

Maddision looks class and will get better with more games.

Overall we look good, controlling the ball and looking dangerous going forward... tough first game proper test comes next week.
