Why have you, and others singled Matt out?

I didn't - I made a general remark about people giving unconditional support. However, perhaps you might also see the final detailed answer I gave to him, and the general comment I made at half-time in the match thread, and then think again. Until he commented directly to me, I never named nor tagged him, and hopefully the last thing I said to him directly made my position clearer.

You can only beat what’s put in front of you. And we put them to the sword.

Newcastle will have to be careful they look every bit a Championship side.

I pity that one team they are certain to beat, have they played Man Utd yet? cant remember.

too right high peak. supporter is the key misunderstood word.

that chant we have ...'thorough the good times and the bad we always back the lads' doesn't have in (only when we win) at the end.

Or indeed 'only when we win in a style I see as good enough'.

Another thing is - yes, we've beaten 2 poor teams, but these are the teams we MUST be beating, and it's a good sign that we are doing.

We beat the bottom five home and away, it’s 30 points half way to 60ish (which should get 7th). Those wins are underrated

Maguire MOTM? Should have given away a blatant penalty and the last ditch tackle was only because he was miles out of position originally and they got in behind him?

Nearly made it a whole page without a negative comment. So close lol

Streamed the game, however Gordon's kitchen nightmares was also on so i paid more attention to that. If we win, I am puel in. If we lose, I am puel out. I like to keep it simple.

I thought it was their best performance of the season. Everything seemed to work today.  McGuire MOTM but Mendy and Maddison also stood out.  McGuire and Madders are now the backbone of this team and that's a heck of a foundation.

Yes. Yes it is.

I'd hate to be stuck behind you at the bar when you're deciding what to drink.

He's certainly been much better than Evans this season so far and can't understand why people want to see Evans in for him.

It's nothing to do with him being from Nottingham. Once players have been at a club for a while, some fans get almost bored of them and want to see fresh faces in and so pick up on every mistake they make.

Albrighton is starting to get it a lot too now and Schmeichel got it a lot last season - one or two poor performances and all of a sudden they're stale and past-it and need replacing. Whereas newer players still have their novelty factor so get away with a he'll of a lot more.

It's always been the way. I remember Graham Cross getting dog's abuse in his latter years despite putting in plenty of good performances, every time he had one bad performance he was past it.

You're probably right to be fair. Good points

Didn’t get to watch it today so will enjoy match of the day later.

You will get to see shearer talk about Newcastle and how there may be a new takeover bid, that should wasn’t enough time to completely forget Leicester we’re envolved ??

The reason that some folks on here slag Morgan off at every opportunity is because they don’t have Simpson to moan about.

Look, it could be worse, we could have Jose managing us. Now that would be a fuching nightmare. He’s like a football vampire, sucking the joy and spontaneity out of every team he manages. Puel’s only really negative is that he’s French.

Something I really liked was that in the 90th minute we still ran a high press. Nacho started it followed by Mendy then Ricardo. We even got the ball back but didn’t do anything with it. At 2-0 up and the 90th minute you’d forgive anyone for strolling about but we still pressed and kept to the gameplan.

Small things like this are a good indicator of a promising team.

I think I underestimated just how poor they are.

Watched the entire stream so in control, so much possession and yet a little sterile. We should of absolutely mullered them.

It was a good win and I'm nowhere near being in the Puel Out camp but I think there's going to be very few Monday morning's at work where it will be 'That was outstanding' and more 'Good win on Saturday' when we win with him in charge.

Jump? I’ve been saying the same about Puel since February I don’t think that’s jumping to anything,He started this season making the same mistakes as last,as I said it’s been a good week, should we continue to get results performances and keeping a settled team then maybe I will start to change my mind about him.

I am not asking you to change your mind, merely pointing out that those people who do not hold quite such a negative view of him as you do are not necessarily fickle they just gave him a bit more time to begin with.  Anyhoo, different strokes and all that, nice to meet you.  X

I’m not digging this alternating triumphalism between the Puel ins and outs, depending on the latest result.  It drowns out the longer view and the joys of supporting the club through its inevitable ups and downs.

Whether we win or lose a given match, it’s not because the footy gods decide to punish the so-and-so’s on the other side of the argument.  It’s simply the latest sample of a work in progress.  A season is a mile, not a sprint.

I happen to think we’ll need to play more consistently to pick up points in our next three.  I also happen to be optimistic, since (Bournemouth excepted) we do seem to play up or down towards the level of our opponent.

I agree with you completely in terms of "in or out".  However where I think a lot of the frustration comes from is that there is a difference between someone saying "I love Puel he is amazing don't you dare criticise" and saying "Stop being so harsh, he is not as bad as you are making out" and I think most the "Puel in people" fall into that latter category.  Their comments seem, to me at least, to be more of a reaction to the overly critical comments on here than to be an overly positive, unprovoked happy-clappy comment for no reason other than just being positive.

Thought Mendy was class today. Just a professional performance, can't remember being so comfortable watching Leicester in the league, normally worrying about the opposition clawing a goal back but we looked in total control today. Well done everyone.
