Couldn't follow the match, as we were at a motor show in Dublin, and then She who must be obeyed decided we had to go shopping at Liffey Valley.  So was listening in the car, leaving Dublin and driving west, and you know you're a City fan, as your heart starts beating faster, waiting for the result, which you know could have gone t*ts up or brilliantly.    Eventually they went to St James Park...I'm not sure it's legal to take your hands off the wheel at 120 kph, go red in the face, fist pump, and slap your wife on the leg.    Anyway, a satisfactory end to the day!

My other half would stop the car, then kill me, if I did that. lol She hates my driving anyway, so she does most of it when we are together. That way she moans about other road users, rather than my road positioning, following distances, brake usage etc

Did anyone see Merson’s comments? He was disappointed in Newcastle for not turning up as we’re not a good side........

Are we a good side? Possibly, we dictate the tempo of most games we play in, we’re pragmatic in our aproach and will win more games than we lose. Does he see a good side as a team that play fast flowing attacking football then no we’re not a good side. We shouldn’t care what he has to say good side or not more often than not we get the job done!

Prefer Mark Lawrenson over him, and that's saying something.

Merson also said it was a stroll in the park, his opinion really means very little to anybody. A very comfortable win at a canter by all accounts I will take p1ssing Merson off weekly with wins where we do not break sweat

I think the stats will show we had more possession and more chances but in actual fact, the possession we had was mostly in front of Newcastle’s defence and the majority of chances we created were from set plays.

Cant knock a 2-0 away win but we will struggle against better opposition unless we become more ruthless and quicker in attack.

That being said, 7th in the league is where we would expect to be

So many questions.

Why is shearer in America, why are so many leicester fans in America? And perhaps the biggest, why is Filbert there?

Or am i'm just missing something massive?

I can be a bit thick.

He predicted they'd win 1-0 so was in danger of looking like a moron...

Tend to agree with all of this. Long term it's got to be 3-4-1-2 but Puel just doesn't like 3 at the back. A midfield diamond is another option but he'll probably keep it as it is whilst we are picking up results.

You could put Kelichi out wide and Madders central

 Shearers in the USA to watch the match on that TV and to get away from piss taking Foxes fans just in case.

So many Leicester fans were there because there is no escaping having the piss taken out of you by Foxes fans.

Filbert was there because he haunts Shearers waking moments, why do you think all his hair fell out?

I felt today was probably the most comfortable we’ve looked all season. We looked every bit like a decent side who new what they needed to do to A, win and B, keep a clean sheet.

Its what’s so infuriating about Puel, some games we look like a bloody brilliantly side, who can take on anyone, a few games later we look like a pissed up Fole learning to walk. Probably the one change I’d make would be Albrighton in for Kalechi, just to add more of an attacking threat, I thought Kalechi played well but Albrighton is like a man possessed at times this season, he’s look sharp!

I don't think Ndidi is quite what he was last season. Perhaps a few of the criticisms of the defence (Wes doesn't deserve some of the shit he gets on here) may be due to his poor tracking.

Watching MotD and wandering how on earth some people in the match thread were criticising Vardy's penalty. It was immaculate.

Maguire is a bloody lovely big monster of a spade faced farm boy.

Great to see Puel going absolutely mental on the touchline when we scored.
