Morgan should be starting every game if fit, without doubt.

If Soyuncu had put in the performances he has against Wolves in the week and today, everyone would be raving about him.

Still get the feeling some fans don't like him because he's from Nottingham. Baffling.

He's past his prime but he's more than good enough right now.

He's certainly been much better than Evans this season so far and can't understand why people want to see Evans in for him.

It's nothing to do with him being from Nottingham. Once players have been at a club for a while, some fans get almost bored of them and want to see fresh faces in and so pick up on every mistake they make.

Albrighton is starting to get it a lot too now and Schmeichel got it a lot last season - one or two poor performances and all of a sudden they're stale and past-it and need replacing. Whereas newer players still have their novelty factor so get away with a he'll of a lot more.

It's always been the way. I remember Graham Cross getting dog's abuse in his latter years despite putting in plenty of good performances, every time he had one bad performance he was past it.

Well I suppose it is better to laugh than cry, Newcastle look championship bound

Benitez wont stay there past this season, Ashley is the kind of chairman/owner you do not need, why I'm so happy with our owners regardless of any minor issues, if any? over the years.

Beautiful cross from Maddison, Great header by Maguire

Easy enough sitting pretty in 7th place, if we can beat Everton it would be a excellent start to the campaign considering the circumstances.

Beating Everton would be a great marker. We've had quite a favourable opening 7 games and getting the scalp of one of the better teams in the league on the back of wins vs dross would really give us a shot in the arm.

It baffles me how people respond to asking for unconditional support by defending their right to complain. Either we support our team without condition, or we just become people who are only supporters when the team is 'good enough' for us.

I noticed that you were conspicuous by your absence when we were thrashed by Bournemouth but nobody singled you out. If we lose next week will you be happy to take some stick?

Cant argue with that.

I think Puel needs to work a way of getting Iheanacho, Vardy and Puel in the team together but it can't involve Madders playing on the wing.

Don't think we should spend too long looking for a place for Puel in the starting 11.

Not sure if anyone’s seen it on Instagram but the players seem to get on really well with the new assistant manager! Perhaps he’s bridging the communication gap this season?

Exactly this, then its like a game of petty tedious tennis.i doubt there’s a Puel critic who doesn’t want him to prove us wrong, hopefully he’s on his way now but we’ll see when the bigger tests come.

That’s as easy as it gets away from home, Newcastle offered hardly anything for 90 minutes, in fact Shelveys shot from his own half was the only shot on target from them. Comfortable win for us. Completely in control for 90 minutes. Wes defended well  and Maddison ran the show. Considerably tougher challenge next week, but overall a great start to the season:scarf:

All the pundits chat will be about how poor Newcastle were rather than how decent we were. Especially if it’s Murphy on MOTD.

Will be for sure, I felt we controlled things well and never really let them have a sniff. We were sharp in the right areas

I'm not bothered to be honest, they are poor, what I want is an Everton win, that would be a major statement of progress which would make me happy and to be greedy, beating West Ham too.

Webbo, this would be a pretty strange post at the best of times, but from a mod it is absolutely extraordinary. Why would anyone single me out or give me stick because I didn't say much about one match? For the record, I have spoken about that match, but sometimes I prefer to look after my mental health when the forum gets toxic, and work has been busy, as has the rest of my life.

To be fair they were shocking. If Benitez were to go they'd be relegation certainties. We played some nice football but they made it easy.

Poor stream and only really listened to Merson so will take his dissing while saying it was a stroll in the park. Newcastle did not sound great but not an easy place to go to unless you silence the fans which we apparently did. Puel looks to have got the team selection right. Also got the subs right bringing Vardy off

Why have you, and others singled Matt out?

You can only beat what’s put in front of you. And we put them to the sword.

Newcastle will have to be careful they look every bit a Championship side.
