If we start like we did against Arsenal we'll have the game own by half time but I think we'll start ponderously so the first goal is crucial.

Hopefully we'll start off like we did against arsenal.

Unfortunately, every home game so far, we've been all over the place for the 1st 10-15 minutes of each match and have conceded in all except Wolves ( who will feel hard done by)

 

Looking forward to it though?

 

Coming up on train so the beers might numb the pain of a bad result?

You've gotta say "Hope we win!" or "Fingers crossed for a win" but follow it up with justification of "to shut the Puel out brigade up".

 

:crylaugh: Seen it a few times recently, the justification/reasoning makes me laugh, as if they wouldn't want us to win otherwise.

Some people talking about dropping Evans and Mendy ...   not for me, not at all ...   they need a run to show if they are good enough ...   ain’t gonna happen anyway.

I think that it's clear that Mendy is good enough. Jury is out on Evans.

 I agree but think that Evans will improve with game time ...    others want Iborra and Soyuncu in ...   not the right time ..  end of, imo.

When we have no alternative ...   when he shows in training that he is better than those currently in the starting IX ...   take your pick.   In the meantime coming on as a sub when required.

We need Iborra in the middle not instead of anybody. We get caught out of position with no cover too often in midfield. Which allows teams to get at our backline too easily.

plus he's the one midfielder who can step forward and create chances taking pressure of Maddison.
