Pointless signing anyone really. Puel will drain any enthusiasm they have. He will make midfielders scared to pass forward or try anything to turn a defence. He will make sure that strikers will be reluctant to shoot. Defenders won't know what their roles are. Any flair or skill or excitement or attacking intent will be sucked out of any signings. So lets save our transfer funds until he is gone, then try to build a squad capable of, at least, beating the likes of Cardiff City and NewportCounty.

He also said we wouldnt sign anyone else last summer and then Ghezzal, Benkovic and Soyuncu signed. It's odd what he says but it isn't definitive.

If we are after a midfielder who can pass forward then Jonjo  Shelvey might well be available at the end of the season. Big questions re his attitude and work rate i know but sooner or latter he will realise he needs to knuckle down and not waste his talent. With other talented players alongside him Vardy,Maguire,Chilwell,Maddison he could make his mark here.

Think this is a wee bit 'memey'. 4 red cards in 182 games in the Premiership, so averaging less than 1 a season.

 

Maybe more tellingly he's not even had a yellow card in 11 appearances this season. Not that I'd be using stats to make a case for him - he's got a single assist and no goals to his name in those 11 games.

No seriously, he's nowhere near the level of being able to be a regular starter in a top European club, so a midtable team pushing for Europe in the Premier League might do.
If Seri signed for Fulham, Sanson could sign for us.

I've thought Shelvey would be a strong signing for some years now. Prone to a red card but can certainly see a pass early and make it happen. Vardy might just love him.
