It's odd how a PL winning manager, at the helm of a footballing miracle and with such pedigree, isn't wanted by clubs with higher reputations. Nantes and Fulham? I mean no disrespect, as we were in the same bracket when he joined us, but it feels like clubs don't really rate what he achieved here.

Perhaps they've judged him on his second season. We sacked a premier wining manager 8 months later.

I think they're more likely to go down next season than this, his career has been defined by short term success and longer term disaster

Looking at the whole career of him, its reasonable.

Yes leicester city epl winning is a miracle but that's the only time he won it. He didn't do with Chelsea,. Neither are juventus, roma, valencia.

The circumstances around title win is also rare event. How could team like Manchester city, Manchester united, arsenal, chelsea, all have a bad season altogether?

The amount of injury and suspensions we suffer is almost the lesser compared to another team in history that allow us to almost every match, have the same lineup.

As soon as the new season start, he put his real stamps. He sack some of our important staff like sport psychology and says they aren't needed, disjointed our midfield by putting target man as first choice link up player, have no plans again enemy who nullify our counter attack threat, and many more. He inherit a good team and unable to build new chapter, neither improve it.

The bigger team surely sees how he fare in big team he already had, and how he won the epl, and the season after.

It might sounds harsh but the truth doesn't always sounds nice

I feel for Fulham, the last of the traditional London football clubs left in the Premier League, I think where the owner went wrong was that when they got promoted he started to change them into a Arsenal Spurs Chelsea London style club. Its been shown with West Ham, that tradional old fashioned clubs are hard to change to modern fashionable clubs. You what I mean guys? Kind of hard to explain!

Why would we donate our only backup RB to them?

Clearly not in Claude’s plans, it’s a temporary stop gap. If we could move him on I’m sure we would dip into the market for a younger replacement

Interesting, I don't think he's the right manager for a relegation battle, but we'll see... wish we'd already played them though, always the risk of a new manager bounce

He kept a very very calm head when we were entering the final third of our title winning season.

if he can calm them all down and get them playing football then he could do a job there...

The pressure was different imo, more comparable to 16/17 where he lost the plot completely.

Oh, it's surely that and the gradual decline he had before he joined us. It's just strange how he has otherwise been highly regarded throughout his career (which his CV is testament to) and yet, despite having achieved more than he ever did before with a much less fancied team, it doesn't get rated that highly.

This contrasts starkly with the continuous employment of Allardyce, Eriksson and Redknapp throughout the years.

His record with big teams is by no means terrible. Many would say he was unfairly booted at Chelsea, but hindsight will only show that it was a good decision considering The Special One's success. Much like Pearson's role in our title win, Ranieri could claim he had a fairly large share in the success Chelsea had under Mourinho during his first season.

You don't need to explain or downplay our title win. Regardless of circumstances, it was still nothing short of unbelievable what our team achieved and Ranieri made perfect adjustments and piloted the team and media brilliantly. Many far less qualified managers are getting picked ahead of him, which I find odd given how many clubs are easily swayed by an impressive CV.

The football in his second season was completely unacceptable in fairness and probably plays a role in other clubs taking a gamble on him. You can tell that he didn’t leave on good terms here and he managed to take that spirit out of our team. (The Ulloa situation for example where he refused him a move, schlup also). Maybe his personality just isn’t suited to long managerial stints.

I’d say that was more to do with some strange tactical decisions and team choices than losing the plot from an equilibrium point of view...

It sucks we now have an attachment with a boring dull club like Fulham. They were whimpering out of the league without anyone actually noticing them.

They’ll finish bottom still. No way Claudio and his ego will manage in the championship. Their sqaud is way worse than ours at the time when it seemed Claudio was taking us down after winning the league.

Interested to see how they get on, they've got plenty of goal power in that team. Drop that useless midfielder they signed from Marseille, he makes Ndidi look like Pirlo.
