Steve Walsh

Recommended Posts

He's had his day and would sooner recruit via the Jobcentre!

Thought he'd moved to be nearer his family up North, was that an untruth then? After his complete balls up at Everton, it smacks of desparation. There doesn't seem to be any rumours of other clubs galloping after his signature?

Surprised with the negativity.

Possibly more important to our title win than Mahrez and Vardy combined. (being as we wouldn't have had them without him).

On FT?!?

On a serious note in terms of purely being part of our recruitment team this would surely be a no brainier? He may not be a great DoF but he has proven himself in a recruitment role. X

I don’t think Walsh was involved in scouting the players at Everton. Sure, he wasn’t a good DoF. But he isn’t coming back as a DoF.

If he’s coming back to be involved in the scouting then there is no evidence to suggest ‘he’s had his day’ in this department.

He was officially ‘assistant manager’

he used to sit at the back of the directors box with the analysts and communicate with the bench

since he left, we have never been as tactically good as we were in that special season

I’m not saying that he had any input on match days other than to pass on messages but you just never know ........

i assume he (along with shakey) were effective sounding boards for the players).

There may be some truth in this ....perhaps top is looking to get people around the playing side of the club that he knows well and feels he can trust

We can all think of a multitude of reasons why he left , maybe just the chance of a different job and more financial security and after all people are allowed to change jobs, whatever went wrong at Everton should be of little interest to us. Think over the last few weeks we have learned and agreed we have had a pretty well run club for the last few years. If there is a job for him to do and it works for him and the club then why not. Surely stability and going with what you know will help the club going forward
