kingfox Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 I'll take that, Hamza deserves a rest. Three defensive midfielders against Cardiff would've been too negative, 4-2-3-1 is the right call, just hope we can break them down but I'm sure bombscare Bamba will help us out.

We've also got the option of Iborra/Ndidi who can cover if required.

les-tah Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 looking forward to watching this more attacking starting line up!!!

sphericalfox Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 What's the likelihood that Cardiff are going to park the bus, and spend all game cynically roughing up our players?

The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 considering he rested vardy in the carabao cup game so he could make the chelsea game, why has he now played 3 on the trot if he's a fitness concern?
FrankieADZ Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 morgan and evans ill and Hamza rested, decent line up for me, with a bit more attacking threat with Gray can see Morgan and Hamza being back in the line up for the everton game mind

StriderHiryu Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 Where’s Hamza!? Felt he deserved to stay in the squad at least! Good team though and back to the 4231. Just be patient today guys it will probably take a while to break through.
Nick Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 On BBC Sport lineups we have BARBOSA PEREIRA playing for us. So that’s nice.
ronnup Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 A bit annoyed. I’d not change a winning side. Hamza doesn’t need a rest. He’s 21 for gods sake. He’ll be gutted. Also wish we’d kept 433
MPH Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 amazing isn’t it! back to winning ways and Vardy is able to start 3 games in a row.. im glad he is, btw

MGLCFC Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 Think it's the right call. Surely 3 defensive midfielders at home against a side that aren't potent at going forward would have been ultra cautious. Just need to play with confidence and belief that we are better than Cardiff. Hoping for a comfortable afternoon and a 3 nil score line.

RODNEY FERNIO Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 Hopefully a first half onslaught and then we can sub some key players to keep them fresh for the Everton game.
sylofox Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 So most seem happy with the team. It will be interesting to have a look back in here if we go 0-1 down.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 December 2018 Posted 29 December 2018 Not sure about changing a winning team but otherwise it’s a decent line up I suppose? Up the Foxes

He was carrying a knock. Playing the cup game might have been judged too much of a risk of aggravating the injury. It's possible that had he not been rested might have been out for a lot longer, and we wouldn't have ended up with our last few results.
