David Hankey Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Is today's defeat the worse ever. Even the one inflicted by Wycombe in 2001?
KrefelderFox666 Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 No. Millwall 2017 when we were "Champions of England".
HybridFox Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Still think losing to 10 man Milwall of League One was pretty horendous that day
kyleolly Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 No the Wycombe defeat was abit more devastating essandoh was bought in from a teletext ad
UniFox21 Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 We may as well have not turned up for Millwall the other year. This is by no means our worst.
Corky Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Wycombe will always be the worst for me. Home game, 5th in the league, just beaten Liverpool and a quarter-final too (with plenty of players with cup winning experience). That day, and the ramifications of it, will be etched in the club for a long time. Today shouldn't have the same impact despite the abject nature of it.
Sir Shep Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Hopefully Liverpool will lose tomorrow so the media can cry about that instead, but in answer to your question, yes I think it is.
boots60 Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Harlow. No contest. But today was a close second.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Today has just been full of disappointment, I at least expected a poll when I opened this thread #DavidHankeyOut

StanSP Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Takes a lot to top the Wycombe efffort. Today was shite but nothing on that.
copunk Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Today's result is an obvious shitter but it's not one I will lose sleep or mull over, Wycombe was a travesty, I was about 11 at the time and I cried in my bedroom for hours after that ?
Raj Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 BBC knew this was on the cards hence the broadcast. In our minds we knew it was going to happen. NOTHING will be worse than Wycombe for an FA Cup defeat.
bovril Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Can only echo what others have said about Wycombe. Losing at home to lower league opposition is pretty unforgivable, especially when their squad was so thin they had to advertise for players on Teletext.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Harlow and Wycombe were the worst, the latter especially for me as I live there. Peter Taylor wrecked us after that.
Gamble92 Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Wycombe was worst because we were expected to get into a semi. This is shit though. I have work tomorrow and I've already drank 7 of next weekends beers
Blue ROI Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 Wycombe was the worst defeat of the modern era for the club never mind the FA Cup. The consequences of it carried on for the rest of the decade.
Tuna Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 No, the Wycombe defeat was far worse. Quarter final, at home against a division 2 outfit who could barely field a team. Also for what followed, our decline under Peter Taylor came shortly afterward, our disastrous relegation season a year later and financial oblivion.
fuchsntf Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 We created clear cut chances today, that should of seen us home... in other losses, there were very few chances...
whetstonefox Posted 6 January 2019 Posted 6 January 2019 We’ll only know how this one ranks on what happens over the next 5 months.
