Let's hope we get this one over the line before he sees us actually play tomorrow night lol

Shouldn't be a problem as Monaco just lost in the cup to the only team lower than them in the league...

If true there is no option then it’s a shame but he doesn’t seem to be in Jardims plans so if he does well get him signed up as soon as the window opens, hopefully with Silva making up the bulk of the deal

Pointless without an option to buy

If he does well he'll be off to one of the top 6. Book it.

That’s now, things can change. They all have a price, and in any case he might be another flop!

thats my thought too, given we have the loan agreement, in a way....if we wanted YT and they wanted SIlva.....i could imagine a cash+Silva deal could be on the table from us in the summer, could and would suit all parties i suspect

Exactly. Super-Youri has no future at Monaco.

This shows, indisputably, that despite all the negativity Puel understands exactly where the greatest area of need is. He wants to play the way he did in Ligue 1, he just needs the players to do it.

It sucks if there’s no option, but it’s kind of a no-lose if nothing else. If we could somehow make it permanent and Tieleman’s works out, that would give us an unbelievable collection of 22-under talent.

Seems strange without an option. If we had something big to play for this season I could understand it.

If he plays well it inflates his price and opens the door for bigger clubs. If Monaco get relegated they won’t want Silva and that bargaining tool has gone.

He’s also a player unlikely to hit the ground running. He’s struggled with the step up from Belgium to France, so could have more struggles trying to adapt to England. Especially as he’s currently out of form and low on confidence.

I’d be suprised if we hadn’t atleast got first refusal, Silva could be key - we’d need him to do well enough over there that they want him permanently

we are so jekyll and hyde......you never know what Leicester will turn up

We're almost like a bag of revels.

If it`s true that there is no option, then basically it means if he`s crap, he goes back and we are not interested, if he`s good he goes back, we are interested but he ends up at somewhere like Tottenham, because he`s proved himself with us.

Don`t see how this benefits us really, in a second half of the season with nothing to play for, a good shop window for the player though.

This is one of them deals that suits all

parties in the short term. We want Silva off the books and playing regularly without us having to fork out 5m for his next appearance puts him in the shop window quite nicely.

In return Monaco offload a player the manager appears to have a disagreement with. This puts said player in the shop window and gives him a chance to prove to the big boys he can handle the prem. This will hopefully give Leicester a boost in a much needed area until the end of the season and might even save Puels job if he can prove he is ‘one signing away from it all clicking’

Isn't that technically the same as an option to buy? Which we don't have.

Strange that there's no option to buy but let's face it, he's not going to want to come here permanently with the atmosphere around the club anyway.

We're basically swapping a player who isn't anywhere near the team for someone who could potentially come in and be one of our best players- no-brainer in that sense.

At least we get to try before we buy this time. If he can't back it then no harm done.

But if he can improve us then it might cost a few million extra to get U.K. On a permanent deal.

Plus the Silva fiasco is over.
