He's had two or three injuries already during his loan spell. This is the first 'major' one.

Something about plastic pitches...

No. He was actually  carrying an achilles injury when he signed for the club and it had troubled him previously and kept him on the sidelines. the latest one follows the hoo ha that blew up over an injury when they lost to rangers at the turn of the year.

Fair enough, my bad.

Wonder if Puel will drop him preparing/planning “for the future” afterall he did it for that reason and seemingly that reason only to a key player who has recently signing a contract and seems to be going no where...

Surely that was because Vards moaned about his reaction to Pogba, and was a bit unlucky the cameras picked it up. I feel for Vardy because he has been living off scraps for years, at a time when he knows his level drop at some point. The clock is ticking for him, and it must be deeply frustrating to not be able to rely on the players around you for good service, after proving how lethal he can be to the whole wide world.

CP doesn't want to wash our dirty linen in public, quite rightly, but he had to show his young, impressionable squad that there are limits.

That's my take on it anyway, obviously many don't agree with that reading of it at all.

I only hope Vards takes hope from that goal, and the fact that Tielemans will enjoy trying to pick him out, something only Drinky and Riyad really managed to do on a regular basis.

I agree with alot of what you've said.

I was jesting, being ironic, playing devils advocate whatever you want to call it with my comments.

It seems people are picking and choosing what they want to hear whichever side of the fence they sit (I'm guilty myself before anyone starts), they'll ignore/argue against all the reports of unrest but believe anything that is opposite, all I was reacting to was the comments Puel apparently made saying he "preparing for the life/future without Vardy" yet it's probably more likely Vardy will be here longer than Maguire.

I really like Harry and seems to fit the club really well. Would be disappointing if he went, however the money we would demand would mean we could strengthen in other areas.

If he did go, we would need another cb as benkovic has never played in England and soyuncu is still raw. Personally would have a look at re-signing dragovic. We know he's steady and could strike up a strong partnership with Evans or benkovic playing alongside him.

Agree with previous comments on here. Don’t think a top 5 club would want him and don’t think he’d be looking to go abroad.

we’re bloody stuck with him

He's not good enough for the top four on this season's form and nowhere else is an upwards move.

I wouldn't say he is far of becoming a top defender if he goes Utd then he will look good in there defensive and more than likely improve further plus he English

Huh? Isn't he on his first injury of his career?

No, he's on his 3rd for Celtic and his 2nd or 3rd serious injury of his shirt career.

Harry may well put in a request but what everyone seems to forget is that the club do not have to accept it. He is on a long term contract and as such we can hold out for whatever value we decide he is worth to us.  I know there is the old adage of there being no point hanging on to a player who does not want to be here, but he does not seem the sort to throw his toys out of the pram.  If a player does that, then sitting on the bench will not get him the move nor will he be eligible for any appearance or win related bonuses that go towards making up their wages.

I am not sure just how serious the talk of Man Utd interest was in the summer anyway. Don't forget Jose was never adverse to mind games (we were playing them first game of the season after all) and the papers have got nothing else to write about and just love to stir it up.

Feeding off scraps... 20 goals last, 8 goals this and the 2nd most big missed chances  this season suggests it's more than just scraps.

Could be better... could be a damn site worse!

He's England's first choice CB and you lot still have something negative to say about the bloke.

There must be some phenomenally talented footballers on Foxestalk!!!!

When fit it will be Stones and Gomez, Harry won't be fist choice.

Yeah, I lost a bit of faith in my theory when CP said that! lol It is a bit like trying to do a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing, and very much open to interpretation.. Oh to be a fly on the wall.

I think both extremes have a decent narrative on Puel, and both versions of reality have real ammunition in their favour, but I guess the reality is a mix of both.

I think he has often struggled with lack of service since the title win, and certainly that has been the case this season. Perhaps scraps is too harsh though...

I don’t get it, people are pointing out his faults as a defender as well as pointing out goals he has been at fault for.

He clearly offers positives as well but like others have said, actually defending isn’t one of his much like players like David Luiz.

Love Harry as much for his attitude as his game (as a defender I think he's somewhat overrated) and I would love to keep him. But we absolutely must have a CM (Tielemans or otherwise), are dreaming of an attacking MF/wing (Mendez or otherwise), and have to sign a decent striker as an alternative to Vardy (Adams or otherwise).  If we're going to do all that we'll need to sell one of our headliners, and Harry is the one for whom we have the most cover.  If we sell him I'll be sad but neither surprised or displeased.

Maguire will definitely go this summer,

him signing a new contact simply gaurenteed us the fee we will want with a gentleman’s agreement on letting him leave,

and benkovic and soyunca were brought with this in mind and Morgan being released in the summer,

who will either retire or join forest,

according to my brother in law who knows him

Was your brother in law a ref by any chance lol lol

I dont think he will go because a club wont pay the money we think he is worth. I'd be staggered if anybody offered £40m or more for him.

I couldn’t believe we turned 60 million down last August,he’s good but not that good,

people on here laughed when I said that aswell

We never received any bid though. Mourinho definitely wanted him and the press played up their interest to keep the gloryhunting masses watching/reading but there was no actual bid. With Jose now gone as well as the world cup hype I just don't see Man utd being interested.

The prefect footballer doesn't exist - This guy is as near as we're likely to get at LCFC, he's a very young CB and England Regular, player of the tournament for us at a World Cup. And yet we're nit picking on his every mistake and de-valuing him to £40m tops (when last summer we refused £65m).

It just annoys me how negatively our fans see good players at our club.

utter nonsense, our fans know what's best.

After seeing this vitally accurate chart on our Puelin/Out fans.. im not too sure a majority do know best :/

About the "Puel in/Puel out" crowds :

- Best manager in the world
- One of the best manager in the world
- Very good manager, one of the best we can get      <- My opinion
- Decent manager, doing ok given the context           <- Average opinion of the "Puel in" people
- Average manager
- Bad manager
- Terrible manager, sack him immediately                  <- Average opinion of the "Puel out " crowd
- Tony Pullis

Soyuncu's absence from the team has nothing to do with his inability to speak English. Evans and Maguire are the reason.

Not saying it is the only reason of course our best pairing is Maguire and Evans yes. But i know first hand his english is still very poor and you cant play alongside someone in a position that is like 90% positional awareness that cant communicate.
