Stadium Expansion

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just wondering when will Leicester City do a stadium expansion. They were planning to do one last year but no news after that. Think it might be good for the club.

Just wondering if anyone knows about the situation.

thanks

Was the recent loan to cover just the Seagrave development ?? That has taken care of the TV money for the next two seasons so perhaps another loan will be taken out to cover the Stadium makeover in years 3 & 4 ??

It's been cancelled. They are now swapping the family stand and the kip.

I know that the home form’s not been too exhilarating but is that what they’ve renamed it now ?

National grid are *allegedly* happy to sell their land to LCFC in December 2020 but not before. That’s probably why this hasn’t progressed since the original plans.

That’s great news if true. I would imagine they’d come up with contingency plans for this just in case. Looks like we’re gonna have to be patient....

38001 seats (or standing places ) please Top.

I like it, but we might as well make it one bigger than Villa Park, making it biggest in the whole midlands. About 43,000?

Those plans are utter bullshit - Forest can't build any higher on two sides of the ground because the residential properties. When they redeveloped last time, the West Bridgford NIMBYs kicked off and that's why the away end has a lower section.

Looks like it'll just be their old "Main Stand" on the right of the picture being replaced. It'll mean relocating their trophy cabinets so National Herritage will have to be involved.

From the press release it sounds like Forest have an architect and the intention to submit a planning application.

There’s no mention of costs though or where the money will come from.

Would they ever ever bother to do it in the Championship?

As for us...I had expected to hear something in January but I doubt we’ll hear anything for a while now.

I think in theory it’s still the club’s policy to do the stadium and the training ground at the same time, would be interesting to find out if that’s still the case...

They will never fill it...and if they push the boat out to redevelop their stadium they will have to sell players to pay for it.

Dream on tree tops!
