There’s no mention of costs though or where the money will come from. Would they ever ever bother to do it in the Championship? As for us...I had expected to hear something in January but I doubt we’ll hear anything for a while now. I think in theory it’s still the club’s policy to do the stadium and the training ground at the same time, would be interesting to find out if that’s still the case... I think the helicopter accident made them decide to delay it for a while especially to incorporate the crash site as a memorial. Also, @OhYesNdidi mentioned that the National Grid are allegedly willing to sell their land just north of the stadium but not until December next year; some possible plans were leaked and included a new entrance near the Raw Dykes site with car parks, an arena and fan zone, so I imagine they’d already have contingency plans for that area too. Personally I’m happy to wait as the training ground should be the priority IMO
fazzyfox Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Following a review of costs Forest have down scaled the design of their new stand as this exclusive sneek peak at the architects model reveals:-
VLC86 Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 It would be a shame if we added 1 more seat than Forests ground, not that I’m petty or anything...
Simoken Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 surely.. they should get out of the championship first by investing that money on the squad first and foremost.. You cant hide the cracks with a fresh coat of paint, wasnt long ago when they almost got relegated to L1.. risky move on their half me thinks.
katieakita Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Not having that, with a Greek owner.Probably thinks by having a half finished building project he can avoid paying taxes

TiffToff88 Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 I hear that the Forest stadium expansion includes an ancient history museum. Oh hang on, that's just the trophy cabinet
dayday Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Taken from LTLF, Plans to make Nottingham Forests Staduim the biggest arena in the East Midlands are under away, 38,000 by all accounts. isnt ours 40-42,000, or have I missed something?
don_danbury Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 surely it would make it look more empty? i don't see the point.

EnglishOxide Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Would we really sell that many more tickets after expansion? Seems like where we are now selling 30k consistently is just about right.
CosbehFox Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 I’d very surprised if National Grid delaying the sale of the land. Brexit or the continuing indecision over Brexit will only send land values in one direction
Arkie Bennett Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 They need to start by moving the Trent End back about 25-30 metres.

fazzyfox Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 I'd like to think that the increase in seats will change the culture of going to games in the sense that with more general sale tickets you can more easily organise mates and family to come along and the whole thing will feel more flexible. However as a member I'd have to wait until general sale before buying my own seat if I want to sit with the friends (but still be a member to help get tickets alone for other games incl more popular ones). I presume the pricing will reflect the fact that the (new) seats are an extension of existing blocks so they won't be the cheapest unless the view is deemed to be inferior which is unlikely. I presume they'll consider increasing the number of season tickets in the same ratio as present, whether members who would previously take them would feel it still neccesary is debatable. Similarly the amount of members succesful in securing tickets vs top 6 sides will increase. Televised Monday night games vs Huddersfield equivalents may not sell out but with our catchment, our intended growth as a club and all round improvement in facilities and the ability for friends and family to be confident there will be plentiful choice of general sale tickets not the odd dregs of restricted view then you'll see a change of habit and approach to buying tickets, groups of workmates can decide to go in the last few days before the match rather than plan seven weeks ahead. I know that opens the "plastics" debate but we're talking about having seats to fill, so long as the system still rewards loyalty when it comes to the big matches then hopefully there will be room for everyone and if the "product" remains attractive people will come. And then there's the coach loads of drunken Belgian day trippers!
Heymister2015 Posted 28 February 2019 Posted 28 February 2019 Average old boring design for forest! Leicester's will look like a peace of art! of subject if anyone fancies a laugh? pop into the derby county club shop! Its the size of a broom cupboard!

Seems like where we are now selling 30k consistently is just about right. I have said this in a few different posts before. Currently, on a match by match basis we always get 30k (bar a couple of the cup games). However, there are probably a few 1000 people who are deprived of any chance of getting a season ticket. With expansion, we could easily get 30k of season tickets sold. Second point, generally for games (match by match sales), members can only get single seats. The best chance is a week or two before a match if either tickets are returned (mostly staff) or the away team return tickets. So again, not ideal but people still fill the ground every week buying singles etc. Both the above points mean that non-members generally don't even try anymore. They just think every game is sold out (and the club don't communicate well on this front either). All of the above is based on the now, current manager, form etc. Home games have been poor and not enjoyable is the consensus and we still sell out every week. If suddenly (fingers crossed) we start playing consistently and challenge for Top 7 (or even higher), demand will increase. In that scenario, we could easily get high end 30's into the ground for every game and sell out the big matches. In summary, as long as we maintain a good PL status for years to come, this is a no brainer. And with the ambitions of the owners, this fits in perfect.

It was hard to get a ticket for Palace bearing in mind that it was on TV and the loss of form. I was surprised with the amount of 'tourists' that we had visiting the ground the last 2 games. There was quite a few Asians over and also a group of Americans there on Tuesday that were attending 5 games in 5 days.
