For all the Spurs and Man United scouts on the forums scouring for talent, don't bother he is a a waste of space. Adrien Silva is the one you are after - he is very good. We'd begrudgingly see him leave our beloved city for a transfer fee of around 25m and wouldn't stand in his way, despite his huge contribution to our club. He would be a great replacement for Herrera or Dembele. As for Monaco, because we Leicester fans are very generous and we feel bad for you having to sack Jardim and Henry mid-season and then bring back Jardim again, we will take Tielemans off your hands. He is a waste of space, but we have a proven track record of paying over the odds for poor players such as Islam Slimani and Ahmed Musa. We are a very charitable club and our owners often give away free beers, t-shirts and hats to fans, so we will be charitable and give you 25m for Tielemans, even though he's no good and won't work out. bfox Posted 30 March 2019 Posted 30 March 2019 To be fair, I trust our owners/directors to do everything they can in their power to sign this bloke. If he doesn't, It will probably be because he'd rather be somewhere else. He does look like he enjoys it here though! I'm optimistic!

This is a wonderkid who signed for Monaco for 25m Euros less than two years ago and he apparently turned down bigger clubs for first team football guarantees. He has gone on to be a starter for Belgium and in a short space of time in England he has all the attributes that are lacking in many modern central midfielders, vision for a pass and a goal. Unfortunately for us we are doing the donkey work for the top 6. Virtually everyone of the top 6 has some ropey central midfielder players playing for them and some have cost a fortune and failed. Fred, Kovacic, Jorginho, Keita have all come in to the big 6 and largely failed and some average players occupy the midfield of most of them from earlier season signings. All players bought at a new club in a new country can be gambles and I would never have thought that Kovacic or Keita in particular would struggle but they have and Tielemans has flown. We have lined him up for others IMO.

Rusko187 Posted 2 April 2019 Posted 2 April 2019 Trouble is I'd say he'd stay if our ambitions match his but he's on another level and capable of Champions League football which we won't be able to give. I think it's safe to say it would be incredible if he stayed... but unlikely. So let's just enjoy him whilst we have him.

Also we have good bargaining position in that Monaco seem to want Silva. Basically it will be down to the player himself and if he can agree personal terms I think. Remember it was reported (How accurately of course is another matter) that we were offered him on a permanent basis for £40m but turned it down as he was out of favour, believed to have an attitude problem, and was seen as too much of a gamble for a player untested in the PL after recent failures (Slim Musa Silva etc). He has definitely proved himself in this league, certainly does not look like he has an attitude issue and looks for all the world like he is doing his best to fit in with the squad and get himself a move. If we can meet his personal demands, I believe that we can get him as he seems to thrive in our side and looks a good fit with the rest of the players (they all seemed genuinely pleased for him when he scored). I agree he may see us as a stepping stone, but if we can attract the right mix of new blood, continue to improve our youngsters, and really start to compete at the right end of the table, then he, along with others will see a genuine long term future here. Lets get him first then worry about keeping him.

We are a bigger draw now than some people seem to think but of course there are teams who if they want him enough will get him.

DEFINITELY not Youri Tielemans with that strike.

If you look at Man City they'll play 4-3-3 with usually Fernandinho doing the Ndidi role and they have creativity from Silva and De Bruyne whilst we have Maddison and Tielemans. It then gives you plenty of opportunity to create for the front three. We have Vardy to their Aguerro but we're lacking in the inside forwards/wingers whilst ours aren't the goal and assist threats of Sterling, Sane, Mahrez and Bernado Silva. I'm not saying we're anywhere near competing with them player for player but we're making strides in the right direction that's for sure.

I don't have much doubts about Barnes but can't say the same for Gray. Same mistakes in the last third game in game out. Terribly frustrating and we might not be able to buy a winger this summer.
