Oh crap I’ve just turned into one of those top 6 snobs.

Waked into work early this morning big grin on my face, spoke to a lad who didn’t know much about football, but was pleased for us.

Anyway he tells me his father in law is an Arsenal fan and asked how they are getting on.

It was at this point I realised I don’t know anything about how non top 4 teams are doing. I said not great and I think they’re mid table ish - which could mean they’re anywhere between 5th and 15th.

Someone posted this on the BBC's Man United v Aston Villa match thread.

They're quite right, here..;

'You could buy everyone in the country a doughnut for £80million. Man U just spent it buying just one.'

Surprised Pearson never gets linked to these to near the bottom premier league job, considering he's got a 100% record in keeping clubs well club in the top flight you'd think he would be liked to a few. I'm not sure he could keep Watford up though.

He failed at a club in Belgium's second division mate.

So a Liverpool draw against there arch enemies this week and a Leicester win will see the gap close to 6 points... if that was to happen I don't think anyone could claim the title is Liverpools already.. heres hoping

Maybe I'm being naive but I think Everton could sneak a win here....

Liverpool’s premier league record since the beginning of last season reads

P52 W43 D8 L1

😳 it’s clearly going to need a massive drop in form for them to mess it up this season, we obviously just need to keep winning and just hope they crack under pressure.

Everton almost always get scared and bend over at Anfield. Certified 3 points for Liverpool.

The positive thing for us and anyone else who fancies a shot at the title is their severely congested month coming up. Their record is phenomenal and shouldn't be sniffed at. But this month could see them drop more points than usual. Up to us to capitalise on it.

Liverpool being miles ahead is probably good for us. We're tucked in nicely in second and building a nice pile ahead of the 5th placed teams but with no realistic expectation of being able to reel Liverpool in. So we're playing well and with no real pressure. Lets hope the wins and points keep ticking away and see how far it takes us.
