Moise Kean has agreed to join Everton, astonishing signing. They are going to do some serious damage in my opinion, people will dismiss them for needing another CB and a replacement for Gueye but chances are they will get them before next Thursday.

Isn't he virtually on loan though with Juve having a buyback for about £36m?

No, the £36m is the total possible price Everton will pay and there's likely a buy-back clause but nowhere has reported what that might be. No way would it be for the same as what they've paid for him, usually it's at least 50% more.

Certainly the more dynamic forward of the two, Cutrone suffered from 2nd season syndrome last year in Serie A in a team that is very mediocre. I think he will do well for you, i'm not saying he's not a good signing. I would love him at Leicester but Kean is one of the best youngsters I've seen in recent years.

Supposedly not, very differing types of player. Silva said he wasn't a signing in preparation for Gueye leaving, i'd expect them to go in for someone else.

I might get shot down for this but having watched both a number of times, Kean is significantly better than Cutrone currently. I'm staggered Juventus are letting him go.

Nah it's a fair enough judgement based upon his form last year. Think both could be good additions to the prem. Making me really want a winger even more though! Haha

Cutrone suffered last season because they bought Piatek who shoved him out to a bench role. He got 18 goals in the league/Europa the season before that.

They're both different players. Kean is more like Jota, whereas Crutone is more like Jimenez. Crutone fits us well because he's a good option off the bench and has a good work-rate and reading of the game. Kean is a big strong guy who can dribble. Different players but I agree they'll both be good additions to the league.

Yeah I gathered that, but he's got similar prospects with trying to displace Jiminez. He had started to get a name for himself as a good impact sub but last season seemed to knock his nose out of joint when Piatek came in and his season suffered. I think he'll be a very good player for you, bargain at that price.

We all thought teams would wise up to us second time of playing them, both in the Championship and Prem. But we have a very defensive but fluid system that allows us to transition from defence/attack and vice versa very effectively. Newcastle and Man City still couldn't score against us in the Asia Trophy. And we battered Newcastle 4-0. The more and better defensive and attacking players we sign the harder we'll be to contain again. And now we have Cutrone who is known for being a good impact player off the bench, something we lacked last season.

I'm not guaranteeing we'll have the same season again, but there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

The PL is a bit weird like that. I felt the same when we won the league. I expected teams would have wised up to us by the second half of the season but we just ploughed on. The following season was a completely different ball game though. Teams literally had 3 men on Mahrez at times and played such deep defensive lines that there was no space for Vardy to run into. I'm sure you're better equipped as our signings that summer we're shocking and our preparations going into the season were poor as we were dragged off all around the world, then went into the season on the back of a Community Shield defeat.

I don't anticipate you'll struggle at all this season as I think the EL has forced you into being ahead of most teams with your preparations so expect you to start the season strongly and get a good number of points on the board (although hopefully not against us) early doors which should guarantee you at least a mid-table finish. However, I'll be keeping a close eye on you in the second half of the season as I suspect that with your relatively small squad your performances will slowly start to drop off as you start to clock up minutes in the player's legs, and other team's periodised training schedules reach their peak.

It'll definitely be an interesting season for your guy's and I look forward to seeing how you get on.

I think it's probably because I've seen him play a few times which is skewing my opinion...

His stats look decent though so he must have something about him. I still think he's crap though.

I understand your point though. He doesn't look like a footballer. Could be a year too soon for him.

Kean’s talented but he’s barely played any football. It’s different being a rotational option for Juve and Everton’s goalscoring hopes being pinned on you.

Italian clubs are notorious for flogging their talented youngsters. There's many cases of them doing so and it looking crazy.

Kean is a bit more with it than Iheanacho tbf, Ihenacho has the vision of undiscovered Elisabeth Fritzl.

Levelled off when at a less talented Verona team on loan too, 5 in 20.

Everton are really chucking money again

Are they? They've sold Lookman and Gueye for £55m which is roughly what they are shelling out on Kean and Gbamin.

Ah didn't think of that actually.

I'm aware results aren't essential in pre season but Palace's results are worrying. Lost 6-2 to Barnet, lost to Bromley, Young Boys and Forest, whilst drawing to Wimbledon tonight. Would not be supprised seeing them go down.

They beat Bristol City at the weekend 5-0.

I'm guessing the games against Barnet and/or Bromley might have vastly inexperienced or changed XIs?
