Dahnsouff Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 Can you list 5 things you would like to happen in relation to the club over the Summer? I will go first Gray goes Tielemans signs Further expansion of the sports science/data team Wilf stays totally injury free during the AfCon Stadium expansion plans are finalised
Finnegan Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 As much as Gray frustrates me and I don't think he's good enough, putting him above Tielemans staying seems a bit calculated. He's not even our worst winger in the squad at the moment. We need to reinforce long before we let him go anywhere and signing either Tielemans or a replacement is much more significant.
LestaAl Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Hang onto Harry and Chilly 2. Slim and Silva exit the payroll 3. Players return refreshed and eager to win a European place 4. Plans for after-match traffic light sequence improvements on Fosse rd./ Hinckley Rd announced 5. Persuade wife to buy the new pink away shirt!
Fox92 Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 We can't get rid of Gray yet. We need a quality winger first who will actually contribute to us in terms of assists and goals, something we've lacked since Mahrez left. Keeping Chilwell and Maguire would be a good thing for us. Signing Tielemens obviously.
oadby.fox Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Sign Tielemans, and hopefully onto a long term contract without a low release clause. 2. Shift as much deadwood as possible (Silva might go as part of the Tielemans deal, plus also try and move Slim on permenantly, sell Diabate/Ghezzal/King/James for whatever we can get for them). Loan out or sell Iheanacho, if we sell then find a taker abroad, if we loan try a championship or league 1 club. 3. Bring in another forward, someone versatile who could play across the front three would be ideal. If not, then go for a first team winger and a cheaper strike option off the bench like an older target-man. 4. Have a successful preseason (no injuries or big departures other than the ones listed). Also use the preseason to try and blood one or two youngsters to see who might be ready to step up to the first team (particularly forward players). 5. Introduce a proper ticket exchange system and swap the family stand and the Kop. Okay that's two things but take your pick!

foxfanazer Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1) Sign Tielemans 2) Sell Maguire and replace him with Tarkowski 3)Build a statue for Vichai 4) Sign a good backup striker for Vardy 5) Swap the family stand and the Kop

foxfanazer Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 Just now, AKCJ said: Yeah lets just needlessly downgrade our squad. I think we'd need to sell Maguire to sign Tielemans so it's no downgrade imo. He's been poor this season

He's been poor this season Poor's a stretch isn't it. He's not been as good as he has been in previous seasons. Although the kind of money Man U are talking about paying I agree selling him does need to be looked at if they actually do make a silly offer.
Koke Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 Gray is a decent squad player. Not good enough to be a regular starter but good enough to come on as a sub or to start a few games due to injuries/suspensions. Likewise with Amartey. Both are OK squad players.

Gets caught out of position, his awareness has been appalling and just doesn't look that interested this season imo. Get someone in who's hungry to prove themselves. Think the hypes got to Maguire a little bit
MC Prussian Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Sign Tielemans 2. Sort out the Vardy backup striker issue - either we sign a new striker or Iheanacho needs to finally step up to the plate (I still have hope) 3. Sign a proper winger for the right side of the pitch (although I have hope Ghezzal will somewhat improve) 3. Ameliorate the stadium surroundings 4. Statue of Gordon Banks (with other club legends to follow later)
lgfualol Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1) Sign Tieleman 2) Fancy new winger that will score more than our current wingers 3) the above 2 again 5) Sign Tieleman again
ARM1968 Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Beer 2. Bag (of crisps, obviously) 3. Beach 4. BBQ’s 5. Bloody good signings.
Gerard Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1) Sign Tielemans 2) Sign a really good wide player who becomes one of the best players in the team 3) It would be good to move on the players who offer nothing to the squad but numbers. Slimani, King, James, Ghezzal and Diabate. 4) It would be good to sell some squad players who would still command a fee but I feel they'll never be key players here in Silva, Mendy, Gray and Iheanacho. 5) Replace the squad players we have with some good young players with potential who can genuinely support the first XI and maybe put a bit of pressure on them. It would be good to get a player as cover for Tielemans and Maddison and another one for Vardy. A streamlined squad but instead of numbers a squad that every player has a genuine role in that squad other than making up the numbers.
dayday Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Right Back 2. Winger 3. New Striker 4 Tielemans 5. Try and keep as many of the contracted players as we can.
demon_dog Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 1. Sign Tielemans. 2. Sign a recognised striker to play alongside Vardy. 3. Get rid of the fringe players who can't step up to the mark. 4. Sell Gray 5. Give free beer every home game.

Hes had one good season which was last season and he's looked dodgy for large parts of this season. Add to the fact Burnley would ask for a ridiculous amount for him. Lascelles would be a better option and probakly cheaper.

He's been poor this season If you think Maguire has been poor then you clearly haven't watched much of Burnley. Before their end of season resurgence, their defence has been woeful. Mee and Tarkowski are bang average at best.

KingsX Posted 13 May 2019 Posted 13 May 2019 It’s simple really. 1. Reduction in ST prices 1a. Lots of expensive players 2. Entertaining, attacking football at all costs 2a. Get rid of all the f***ing foreign flair players who won’t get stuck in 3. Mature, grounded players with better priorities than ₤500 jeans and clubbing 3a. S***can the families so players can applaud the fans at the lap of honor 4. Riyad back 4a. Riyad’s head on a stake 5. Lee Congerton’s head on a stake 5a. Lee Congerton’s head on a stake

Give them their chance.

No one is wanting someone with his wages there and he's too good for that league. Some of the suggestions are decent, a couple a bit dubious.
