Too many of those players have regressed or stagnated, and believed the media hype around them. You'll never achieve anything if you rest on your laurels, and in reality, spurs have none to rest on. I get the impression Alli, Trippier and some degree Kane and Eriksen believe all the media hype that they're world beaters, but the fact they don't have any trophies should be proof enough they're not. Nowhere near the finished article they think they are.

It's been a pretty poor season for them really, their biggest feather in cap this season is coming back at half time against a mid table championship team well done.
