If he stays we have a back-up in the CM 'number 8' role with the potential to be international quality, and not being the main man means he can have time to adapt to the English game. If he goes, money in the bank for us. He's been a waste of space when I've watched him. At least with Musa that far up the pitch he didn't really effect anything. Silva couldn't even see let alone track any opposition players and was easily knocked off the ball. Anything other than a short pass was a wayward one, he was a complete liability. With Ndidi, Mendy, and Choudhury there's no chance of a place in a defensive role which is supposedly his preferred position (if fit James would usurp him as well). Just because he's crap there doesn't mean he'd miraculously fit in a number 8 role, he'd be way way too slow in thought and deed.
