Wasn’t sure where to put this thought this would be the best place Villa fan talking about two of our ex players . The last paragraph on the top post  I find astonishing

Wow! That's a whole new perspective nobody thought of. Drinkwater was the world class player and Kanté was the plodder that Drinkie made look world class.

Looks like he's fallen down with a massive thud given the size of him...

Seem to remember he always had a bit of a twatitude problem.

Sad to see that Billy Kee has had to retire at 29 due to mental health issues....

Which just goes to show that being a professional footballer is not always the easy life that everyone assumes.  OK so he would not be earning megabucks at the likes of Accrington but would still have made a more than comfortable living. Feel really sorry that illness has cut short his career, and fair play to him for being honest about the situation. Hopefully this will also give others suffering with this type of illness the courage to seek help.

Yeah real shame as he's a local lad. Used to see him running round Rearsby in the off season when he was at Torquay a few years back. Clearly got some demons. And despite accepting them and trying to speak out in public, it looks like he's not fully able to cope with them behind closed doors.

Hope he gets well and finds some comfort in life. Will certainly be a pint or soft drink waiting on the bar of the village pubs round here if he ever fancies just sitting down and not discussing football.

Was a bit of a cult figure with us, didn't play very much. Better known for Chris Powell taking penalties at him in the pre-match warm-up.

Those penalties were legendary lol

Signed for Coalville Town, amazing signing for them.

He will score for fun. Excellent that he can still carry on playing in some capacity.

The way it ended here for him is such a shame

I just love a trier, and this bloke was certainly that, as a city fan of 50 plus years he rates as one of my favourites...........guts, effort and no little skill...thanks Nuge.
