FoxyJim1987 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 For a European final, there's no way they play a second string.

Vacamion Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 The pundits mentioned playing Kante as an attacking midfielder. I hope Frank Lampard persists with this against us and doesn't put him back as a defensive midfielder.
Foxxed Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 That looks like a full strength Chelsea side to me. But it's a bit early in the season for two matches a week to knacker them.

These and Man Utd should not be seen as a “big team” for us to bow down to any more. They have history, but currently both have extremely inexperienced managers, some very young players, very few genuine pedigree players in either side and neither of them have a proven 20-goal-a-season forward. In terms of teams we should worry about, Man City and Liverpool are ahead of everyone else in the league, Spurs (sadly) probably have a bit extra too (at least in their first team) but the rest should be fair game.
That_Dude Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Kanté playing changes everything. They lack a striker but their midfield is impressive. So much for thumping them at Stamford Bridge.
yorkie1999 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 If we’re not up for it, I think they’ll batter us. The transfer ban will galvanise them.
Pliskin Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Underestimate Chelsea at your peril, despite their difficulties they’re still good enough to beat most teams in this league. It will still be a tough game on Sunday. Add in the likes of Giroud, Willian, Kante and Rudiger, things look a bit more cheery for them.
adejo92 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Currently watching the Chelsea vs Liverpool match on BT Sport and I must say, Chelsea are looking a completely different team to what I saw when I watched them against Man Utd (baring in mind that score line wasn't a true reflection on the way they played) Having said that, Liverpool are not looking great and it could well be Chelsea stepping up to the cup final Vibes. Hopefully Chelsea will be a little tired and a little less up for our visit and we'll take advantage. Certainly don't get too carried away with Chelsea's 4-0 defeat at the weekend.
Blanchflower78 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Chelsea look very good, fluid and full of energy. Gonna be far tougher than some were suggesting. Big performance needed.
Spicer Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 I'll be happy with any points leaving Stamford Bridge I hope Madison is not on the wing. He's so much worse there
gurru991 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Chelsea are looking very strong against Liverpool right now. Will not be an easy game for any team this season

Foxxed Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Come on Liverpool. Extra time doesn't happen by itself.
adejo92 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 To be fair, starting to see the same mistakes from Chelsea now that cost them so much on Sunday. This could easily end up 3 or 4 to Liverpool now. Frank's half time team talks must be awful!
UniFox21 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Since Liverpool have had the pushing front 3 on, Chelsea have looked so open at the back.

Chelsea started strong but there seems to be gaps opening up. Small errors cost them 4 goals at Old Trafford, still didn't play badly, but small errors are costly at this level.
UniFox21 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Id potentially start with Barnes, Vardy and Perez to push at them from the off Id potentially drop Maddison and keep the middle 3 to hassle them further
yorkie1999 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 I say stuff var and get women linos and refs in, no one dare argue with them and if they do they know they’ll lose. It’s the future
