Ian Nacho Posted 13 August 2019 Posted 13 August 2019 Choudhury and Ndidi masterclass protecting the backline.

Fosse93 Posted 13 August 2019 Posted 13 August 2019 I'd drop Maddison and bring in Albrighton for this, with the hope Albrighton can hit those early balls down the left channel for Vardy to latch onto. We should go a tad more direct for this match imo, Chelsea's defence looked nothing short of a shambles on Sunday, get right at 'em from the off.
leicesterseddon Posted 13 August 2019 Posted 13 August 2019 Would make more sense to play Hamza & Ndidi together at this than against Wolves. Personally I wouldn’t play both but I can see Brendan doing it based on how he set up against the bigger teams last season. Need to start with a recognised wide man though, preferably Barnes for me.

Aye if we're going with two DMs at least play our most exciting attacking midfielder.
the fox Posted 13 August 2019 Posted 13 August 2019 Can't see a win here even though they got beat 4-0 by united. Think the match gonna end with a 3-1 loss.
don_danbury Posted 13 August 2019 Posted 13 August 2019 1 nil win at the bridge and a clean sheet against them last season. that was when they had hazard and kante.

I'd be cautious dropping our top assist maker for a match this big. I'd keep Maddison and bring Albrighton in for Hamza.
gurru991 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Chelsea will not be easy !! They were in the Man U game & quite honestly deserved to be ahead at half time. People who think this will be a walk in the park are dreaming. Talk of dropping Maddison is ludicrous.
WigstonWanderer Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Chelsea played well in the first half vs MU, and were unlucky to be down at HT. Seemed to fall apart in the second when MU got their tails up and started pressing them much harder. Kante seemed a little out of sorts to me when he did come on. Possibly not quite fit.
Ric Flair Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Our win at The Bridge last season was one of the most enjoyable performances I saw from us under Puel, we rode our luck a little but we also played some excellent stuff and having absolutely peppered Chelsea at their gaff the year before and not winning it was well deserved. Same again please.
Lesta2014 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Hoping Chelsea play as open as the United game as I can see is causing them problems if so! Think this could be a high scoring game! Il go for a Desmond 2-2!
TonyN11 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 We need to get back to the traditions of Association Football.... Leicester: Schmeichel Justin Chilwell Soyuncu Morgan Evans Gray Tielemans Vardy Maddison Albrighton Sub (for injured player): Ward Chelsea: Arrizabalaga Rudiger Alonso Christensen Jorginho A.N. Other Kante Barclay Abraham Willian Pedro Sub (for injured player) Loftus-Cheek

UPinCarolina Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Chelsea should be more resolute defensively than they were against United. They were unlucky not to score 2-3 goals and were dangerous at times going forward. Expecting a 2-2 draw or a narrow loss; would be beyond excited if we won.

Haywood_6 Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Will be satisfied with a draw, ecstatic if we win. But I can't see us repeating last seasons performance again - can we?

UPinCarolina Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Worth mentioning that Chelsea will be playing Liverpool in Istanbul today. How they line-up might be of interest.

splinterdream Posted 14 August 2019 Posted 14 August 2019 Stick to our own game and we'll be fine, I really don't think chelsea are any better than us, 1-2 leicester
