The two aren't mutually exclusive to be fair.

His rushes of blood to the head can't be blamed on anyone else though. It's what makes him the player he is though, he's always been a front foot defender. He certainly suits a pressing game where we're on the front foot rather than the passive football we tend to play.

He's not as good in the air as our other CB options though.

He’s one of the best in the PL at aerial duels. Beg my pardon when checking he’s our best.

Does it count as duel if you misjudge the flight of the ball and run under it? If not then those stats are massively scewed :D

think it's pretty rough people are completely writing him off, he's clearly low on confidence without someone of quality next to him.

alas, we go from thinking someone is an absolute worldy to being dog-shit in the drop of a hat on here.

he's had some howlers but the entire back line has been a mess for over a year.

He is a mature international player and shouldn't need some one else to metaphorically hold his hand.

Just waiting for col to come on and tell everyone he knew that Soy was overrated and a waste of space :D

Coming to the King Power stadium in 2023 it's a brand new chant!

"**** OF SOYUNCU, WE DON'T NEED YOU WE'VE GOT [Insert new player name here],

HIS [Insert part of anatomy here] IS ****ING MASSIVE!"

I think we should sell this summer because if you look closely his hairline is rapidly receding.

If you think that’s trying to be funny, ask yourself this: in 2023, would a bald Soyuncu still command the same mystique from the transfer market?

Its a matter of urgency now.

We Need a total new bunch of players...

Its become boring listening to the same nagging ,moaning posters, going Every week through our squad,

to Keep telling us & giving the same names ( every player in the squad)

who we can get rid of & not one is worth keeping....

we'll soon see the return of JJ & Fofana ,within 2 weeks of their return, FT-experts will have both, either needing to go out in loan, or Well if we get the right

Price...they can go..candidates.

Our best players, are  always those that are not presently anywhere near selection..

I wonder when FT, will have the Good Fortune to refind/rediscover/dig up..Actual Leicester City supporters..!!

We have no hesitation to attack, label and black mark any of our players/ football manager if single thing goes wrong.

- BR' s approval rate can go up to 59% from 98% if we draw at home.

- Madders can be zero to hero if he plays an average game.

- Geez.... even we have a few morons amongst us can mercilessly call the club legend Vardy a shit striker if he fails to score.

We are a bunch of friggin yoyo's

Now cursing  the Cags, once they created many chants for him and called him a better version of Maguire worth minimum £80 mil.

We can build state of the art training facilities or beat Liverpool or even dream to play in CL . None of these matter unless we become a better football club supporters which we are so bloody not at the moment.

Get a grip guys.

not how it works though is it. football is as much about chemistry with players around you as it is individual skill.

yes, in theory you have to pull your own weight but look how many players struggle across the leagues when their dependable partners disappear.

his skill and ability hasn't evaporated out of his body has it - he's just not playing alongside someone that compliments him or gives him confidence. maybe the system doesn't give him confidence. and yes, he's accountable for the errors he makes, but they come about for various different reasons.

I'm not trying to completely absolve him, he's ****ed up and made some howlers, but shipping him out after a bad season where we've been riddled with injuries and players having ****-ups across the pitch most games when just 12 months ago we were holding him up as a maguire killer, one of the most prized cbs in the league... seems a bit premature for me.

i'm glad i have people in my personal and work life who gave me patience and understanding during difficult periods and didn't write me off after a few months of mistakes and wobbles, jeez.

For sure, some big names off and we need to bring in some new blood

Youri was very keen to shake Klopps hand in the KP tunnel and Maddison followed suit. No one else did.

You obviously rate him. I'm afraid I dont.

well, I put forward an argument that I rate the Soyuncu of recent past, as did many of us, and yourself, looking at your post history; and then gave a myriad of reasons as to why I'm willing to give him more time, because there are other external factors that may well be hindering his performance. I think the argument is a little more nuanced and less knee-jerk than 'he turned shit over night, get rid.'

BR did say he has been overplayed around Xmas. I also think Turkey in the summer was a disaster for the whole nation, I'd imagine there was a lot of toxicity around.

I've always thought he is a bit more suited to European football, because he is a bit short aerially, for me. Excellent player on his day, but not this year. Cynics will say he has lowered his potential fee significantly.

I reckon Turkey & Xmas shouldn't be used in the same sentence..

Man is 26 in May. Over 40 caps for Turkey. And 75 Premier League games under his belt. He should be leading this defence, especially in times of crisis, but instead he's just gone to shit.

Evans is done at this level. Vestergaard is just terrible. Amartey is a decent back up but not a starter. And Soyuncu cannot be relied upon. A new CB is needed in the summer to partner Fofana. Offload Soyuncu for anything above £25m.

We’ll get more than you think for Soyuncu but I agree we should sell

Especially as he only has 12 months left on his contract in the summer.

If we off load Cags,  will we not need two CB's or do you think Nelson is ready to step up as a good back-up role?

I've been a critic but he's probably been about a 6 of out 10 so far tonight, Vestergaard's fvck up left Cags in no mans land to be fair.

He’s as dogshit as Vestergaard. Trying to play offside there is a shocker, just follow the run

Yeah Vesty gave the ball away.

Then there's the gamble from Soyuncu to play Kane off that backfired. Not a huge mistake but a gamble that arguably was not worth taking.

But when Kane squared him up it was so easy for him to sit Soyuncu down.

Dives in every single time. If I was Brendan I'd lock Soyuncu in a room and make him watch Thiago Silva highlight reels on repeat. Masterclass in standing your ground as a defender and Soyuncu needs to learn not to commit every time.
