I’d like a couple of good no nonsense centre half’s. Not a big fan of the turns and attempted 50yd passes, that rarely work.

On his day he can be unbelievable, we've all seen that. But he's heavily reliant on who's alongside him, he's prone to an absolute brain-fart, and he's been woefully out of form this season. 

 

I'd be happy for him to stay as he can still be a top European defender. The potential is there.

 

However, if some moneybags club comes along and offers £50m+ you'd take it, surely. Absolute no-brainer.

The two aren't mutually exclusive to be fair.

 

His rushes of blood to the head can't be blamed on anyone else though. It's what makes him the player he is though, he's always been a front foot defender. He certainly suits a pressing game where we're on the front foot rather than the passive football we tend to play.

 

He's not as good in the air as our other CB options though.

Wants a move ? I love Cags but he’s been a car crash for 18 months now. His highlight from that period was running past Bale and giving him a free run at goal. 
 

He must watch his own highlights to realise he’s been stealing a living for the last 2 seasons.
