Have to say what a terrible barometer for this election twitter has been (Yeah I know).

If you were on there between 8pm and 10pm last night you'd be forgiven for thinking it would be a Labour landslide.

Maybe now the gobshiites on the left will realise it's a massive echo chamber and not representative of the country as a whole, the most of which will not be on Twitter.

That Owen Jones lad seems a decent character with ambition.

Could be a good 'gamble' for the party, in the long-term?

Wanted to see more of him on the telly last night, crying his salty tears!

Does anyone have that picture of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, saying ‘I voted Labour/I voted conservative - can we be friends, let’s go to the pub’?

Just trawled through loads of pages but can’t find it....

bit cringey though

Cringey? Because you can't stand people with different political views being mates? Says more about you that.

I'm on a WhatsApp group of a suburban Leicester sports team. White working class males with a trade;, brickies, plumbers, civil engineer.....all on a decent wedge and ALL absolutely stonewall hard right Tories.

The 'working class' vote for labour has gone.

I think it’s always been like that.South of Sheffield especially.People in the trades do tend to be conservative. Its the nature of the job, more likely to be self employed etc.Children of Thatcher.Theres not many Labour brickies I know that’s for sure.Let alone remainers.

It was a tongue in cheek comment, although kind of ironic you posted the picture and then complained about gobshites on the left and salty tears.

I have plenty of friends who vote differently to me (I think). But also I'm not naive enough to think that politics these days isn't incredibly divisive. If a Jewish person genuinely thinks the Labour party at the moment poses an existential threat, they're not going to go out and have a pint with a Labour supporter are they?

I do genuinely hope the country goes on and heals but I'm not wildly optimistic at the moment.

Why not?

You're asking me why I doubt a Jewish person would go for a pint with a Labour supporter if they think Labour poses an existential threat to them? I thought that'd be a point that didn't need too much explanation.

Looks like the socialists / marxists / commies etc have mobilised already

Honestly, what on Earth is going on with the world. Don’t get your own way, I know let’s throw a tantrum and hope everything suddenly goes how I want it. Brainless.

You really don't practise what you preach do you? You're probably one of the biggest critics of "remoaners" and left-wing people on here.

Completely agree and have felt like that for the past few years, if it wasn't for family ties I'd quite happily leave and not look back, the things I loved about the country and the people been eroded away, maybe those things were never really there?  Ambivalence is the key word here....and it is sad but I'm sure it's not just us who feel this way.

Hopefully nothing stopping you...............

depends on the labour supporter ......... the vast majority don’t have an AS bone about them ..... I think the fear was more based on how easily they may led by the left of the party

Yes I know that’s an attempt at humour but if you were making a poor stereotype joke about blacks or Asians I doubt you wouldn’t have had any responses within an hour ........

I agree with you, but the point is that there are lot of people in the country that feel unease about certain developments at the moment and I don't think we're all going to walk off into the sunset to the pub.

Anyway, I'm sorry I was mean about the Winnie the Pooh picture.

If Corbyn put a Liverpool referendum in his manifesto he would have got my vote, an awful place which is despised by about 90% of the countrylol
