Helluva team this Liverpool lot. Every chance they’ll go unbeaten this season now I reckon.

Liverpool's game against us is their 9th in 26 days... That's 1 game in less than every 3 days

they won literally every single game they tried to win.

i kinda do but also kinda don’t want to say i fu cking told you so but this thread is an absolute belter. they are genuinely better than all the other teams in this league put together. probably all the other teams in europe put together.

is everyone still going to argue with my opinion or just accept that that’s just the way it is. top four has always been our aim and i think we will get there. this absolutely insane talk of catching liverpool, who have got to the new year with just two points dropped which (without looking) i assume nobody in the history of league footballl has ever done before, is just hilarious. it was hilarious a month ago and it looks even funnier now. hopefully someone deletes this thread before anyone who supports other teams find it.

I still think they can be beaten, if you neutralise they full backs, then play on the counter.

This Liverpool team, would have struggled against 15/16 Leicester.

Oh you won't find me disagreeing with you at all. On the inside I didn't think it could happen, and certainly after the Norwich draw.

There is a lot to admire about this Liverpool team. Their energy, pace, how clinical they are and the way they work the ball.

what isn’t often spoken about is their aggression and tactical fouling. When the opposition have the ball they either press and win it or foul to break play up. Stops teams getting into a rhythm.

they are all physically very strong and seem to win every 50/50.

as unsporting as it sounds I think the only way to stop them is to kick them out the game and hope for a meltdown

Seriously how do they keep those energy levels up game after game after game? Its levels above anyone else. Is that really what motivation gives you or do they train in special ways? It reminds me of the Sky/Ineos team in cycling and their dominance in Tour de France.

Also think the only way to stop them right now is going full Mourinho and get into them physically. Standing back like we did and not get close to them is suicidal. They are a fantastic team.

Brilliant team, they place some great stuff.

But bloody hell they can't take any criticism. All up in arms laughing at Kasper complaining on the ref, but minute you compare that to Klopp complaining they all come for you in swarms lol

It’s similar to when we won the league that season where people were accusing our players of being on performance enhancing drugs!

Sometimes you think Liverpool not so special - I.e when we turned Southampton over when they had likes of Van Dijk & Mane - but now these individuals have found another level.

Only way of stopping them now is if they pick up injuries.

Could well be the best team in Premier League history -  no exaggeration. They’ll post the numbers to support this too - they’re just that ****ing good.

I think they could be Centurion Invincible's this season and end the ‘who’s the best English top flight team of all time’ debate.

They are truly something special

I'm surprised how much were being slagged off in the post match thread as I honestly didn't know how we could get anything out of the game last night. They pressed and closed us down so much when we had the ball that we couldn't play out as we have been doing and with a work rate we couldn't match. We had no one to hoof it to so just gifted them the ball back if we tried that. Couldn't press them into mistakes as their speed and one touch passing was incredible. In the end I just accepted we couldn't beat them and spent the remainder of the game hoping someone would cripple that moaning bastard Henderson!

They are different class. Every player in their squad has gone up a level playing under Klopp, and it shows no sign of stopping, Klopp and the players look like they are still improving and learning.

They take every opponent seriously, they never seem to turn up and just think they will win, but accept they will have to work hard and leave everything on the pitch to win every match. Was impressed by their decision making yesterday, very calm under pressure and always picking out the right pass etc. Basically, i don't think much luck has played a part in where they are right now, just professionalism.

Great team

Annoying fans...mainly the many many armchair plastic fans wandering around the country with their replica shirts...and considerable knowledge from watching them on the telly.

I’d love to see them collapse and and Manchester City pup them to the title again.

Don't worry, plenty have given up on the title, top four, Europe and plenty of our players judging by last night.

It's there tactical awareness I loved about them last night. They play football when allowed in the right areas, Long and direct counter attack when it's on just smoother the ball to stifle any threat.

They have strong, aggressive, technically gifted players and made the game look so easy which it's not, But that's what good teams do.

To be fair they're 3 to 4 years building that team who are a joy to watch. That's what we need to do is keep building now. Don't be too down as we are a work in progress.

It's not over until they cross the winning line but they don't look like collapsing either. Good luck to them I'd prefer to see them win it than Utd or Chelsea any day.

Find it hilarious the place has gone into meltdown after losing a few games against the 2 of the best teams in the world. WE’RE SECOND IN THE TOP DIVISION IN ENGLAND ffs , would you have taken being in this position at the start of the season come the new year ?  Course you would have.

Great team tbf. I’d like to see this liverpool team, that United team, Chelsea 04/05 and the Arsenal invincibles face off against each other in a 4 way knockout.
