Unbelievable player, I've gone full circle with him over a year ago. Now it's just a privilege to have someone like him still to call on when shit hits the fan.

The difference to our turnaround has been the performances of players like Albrighton.

 

We were lacking in effort, but since Rodgers put Albrighton in the team, there’s been a massive lift of effort, energy and fighting spirit.

 

Whatever the case, Albrighton will always give 100%, this team was desperate for that kind of injection, the effort he has shown along with players like Barnes & KDH has given the whole team a lift.

 

I’ve never been the type of fan who lauds over players with technical ability, grafters like Albrighton will always get my praise instead.

That's the most impressive thing about him. How many managers have came to this club in his time here 4? 5 including Pearson? How many of them thought that Kevin would be their starting RWer? And yet he's played his way into every one of them.

Nobody who’s ever met Albrighton will ever say a bad word about him, he’s one of the most genuine footballers out there— he’s truly a nice guy.

I said years ago he'd become our James Milner, reliable, dependable and always willing to cover a position. The goal was excellent and another to add to his collection of European goals!

Albrighton is our Milner. I can see the comparison. I get it. But Albrighton strikes a ball in a way that Milner wishes he could. We’ve seen Sharky score better goals than tonight in the past. I can’t think of one Milner goal that rivals any of Marc’s.

Excellent performance, not just the goal and assist, but offensive play (had a brilliant left foot cross in the first half), great defensively, and his combination play with JJ was pure sauce.

Marc and KDH are key to how this side is functioning at the moment. Marc is an ideal RM when we have a full back that likes to get forward, as showcased with JJ for the first hour - their link-up was immense!

Yeah Kasper was the other one I was thinking of, especially with his penalty save in the Sevilla game, which was as good as Albrighton's goal.

I'm a massive Albrighton fan, but I think POTS has to be Maddison still. He has more goal contributions (19) than KDH or Albrighton even have starts.

Albrighton and KDH have been our best 2 players in 2022 for sure, but I don't think you can give it to players who've played so few games and I think over the whole season it has to be Maddison, even despite his poor opening few games, he's contributed to us positively much more than anyone else over the entirety of the season.
