5th round draw

Recommended Posts

Its interesting to compare to the two clubs since we last we met and how one clubs grew the others gone the other direction

2011-12: Cov relegated to League One, Nigel Pearson returns to the KP

2013-14: Leicester champions of the Championship, Cov leave the Ricoh Arena play outside the city all the way in Northampton with average gates of just over 2,000 along with starting the season with a 10 points deduction.

2014-15: Leicester survive in the premier league with famous great escape, while after a few months starting the season at sixfields, Coventry return to the ricoh.

2015-16: Leicester win the premier league

2016-17: Leicester embark on champions league football for the first time and reach the quarter finals, while Coventry are relegated from league one but they do win the tinpot cup.

2017-18: Coventry win promotion back to League One.

2018-19: Leicester suffer the horrific tragedy of the death of Vichai.

2019-20: Leicester currently sit third in the premier league and currently in a semi final of league cup, furthest since they won the league cup in 2000. Coventry once again leave the ricoh arena and play outside the city in Birmingham.

Do you think either Cov or Birmingham will be allowed to be given a big allocation or do you reckon it could be reduced due to being considered "high risk".

Derby got 5 thousand for the replay the other year and that was midweek.

We used to take big allocations to the Ricoh tbf as well although always weekend

Better atmosphere with more away fans

They'll get the full 4,400 or what ever it works out at.

Coventry have probably sold out twice here rest of the time they've bought around 2k.

Since they've not had a proper ground their away support has been very good. Credit to them for that.. I suppose.

Cracking draw. Hopefully this will wake some of our fanbase up if it does end up being Cov- if we can't come up with a decent atmosphere for that then we might as well pack it in.

They would be bang up for it too, they'd bring the 4,500 (if the police don't decide to limit it)- could be pretty moody around the ground.

That was also after there was trouble in the first leg so I'd be surprised if it was reduced.
