5th round draw

The draw takes place at 7.20pm on Monday 27 January on The One Show on BBC One.

Who do we want?

I'm hoping for a home tie against Portsmouth or Reading/Cardiff or Coventry/Birmingham please.

Matches are on the first midweek of March, sandwiched between Norwich away (Friday 28th Feb) or League Cup Final (1st March) and Aston Villa (Monday 9th March).

I'd like a home game against a low league side but for once I'm quite hoping that the teams challenging for a CL place get through this round after a replay so that they continue to have fixture congestion.

Yep trip to Hillsborough would be my choice.

Cov at home also a good shout if they get through.

Probably be Spurs away.

Hopefully we will play a more representative side in the next round as we’ll be on a game a week by then so not bothered who we get but would like a home tie

We play this midweek after the Carabao Cup Final if we get through against Villa.

As usual i would prefer the weakest team left in the competition at home. It would be wonderful if we're plain sailing in the league with a Carabao Cup win behind us and then in the position to rotate players in the league to go all out for the FA Cup.

Aren't they weekend games ?

Nope due to the so called winter break the games are midweek after the league cup final.

Any chance of a bye?

Tbh, I can't really think about it, not with Villa next week. So, yes, who ever said 'weakest team left at home' - I agree with them.
